Former MTV VJ Lala Vazquez got married to her longtime fiance Carmelo Anthony over the weekend (Sat. Jul 10) in a private ceremony at Cipriani 42nd St. in New York City in front of hundreds of close friends and family.
In a recent interview with Life & Style Magazine, Vazquez revealed that her BFF Kim Kardashian hooked her up with the beautiful Vera Wang wedding gown she walked down the aisle in. And not only that, but KK even hooked Lala up with her and Ciara‘s personal trainer Gunnar Peterson to lose 15 pounds so that she could fit into the custom-made gown. Lala told L&S Mag:
“Kim and Ciara have incredible bodies, so I thought, if he’s the guy responsible for that, then I need to get in there.”
After an 8-week regimen that included weight training, core work and cardio exercises, and practicing portion control, Vazquez dropped from a size 8 to a size 6.
“When you start seeing results, you stay motivated. This is crunch time.”
