Tennis champ Serena Williams is opening up about her relationship with rapper Common. In an upcoming feature in the August 2010 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, Serena says that Common was the reason why the two didn’t work out. According to the Wimbledon Champion, Common’s schedule was way too demanding and he “didn’t want the responsibility” of a relationship.
Serena told Harper’s Bazaar:
“His schedule is actually worse than mine. He didn’t want the responsibility. It’s really tough.”
Serena admits that she’s thankful the rapper/actor didn’t talk bad about her to the press or use the break-up as a means to promote his new movie “Just Wright,” which hit theaters around the time the two broke it off.
