Just before Beyonce hit the stage at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards she and the songwriting/producing team behind her chart topping single “Single Ladies” had already won a Grammy for “Song of the Year.” And when it was her time to perform she proved exactly why she won six Grammys throughout the course of the telecast (she even earned a couple during the pre-telecast).
But instead of telling the crowd to “put a ring on it,” Bey opted to perform “If I Were A Boy” with a cover of Alanis Morisette‘s “You Oughtta Know” thrown in. She even did the Dutty Wine! (LOL) Not necessarily our favorite performance, but it was nowhere near a “bad performance.”
