Wearing a straw hat made entirely out of her own hair, pop singer Lady Gaga attended a Polaroid presentation where she was named Creative Director for a specialty line of Polaroid products Thursday (Jan 7) at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show (also known as “CES”) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The “Bad Romance” singer signed a multi-year deal with the well-known camera company who was bought out of bankruptcy in May by two venture capital firms.

Polaroid took a back seat in the world of film and photography once digital photos caught on, but now the company wants to reposition itself as a licensing company, with intentions to put its name on cameras, printers, televisions and more. Lady Gaga will serve as Polaroid’s new creative director and will help develop a line of co-branded products.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is in the middle of a world tour and she and Beyonce are gearing up to shoot the music video for “Telephone,” the second single from Gaga’s new album The Fame Monster. More pics of Polaroid’s most famous employee below…
