Poor album sales has caused Chris Brown‘s third studio album Graffiti to open at a disappointing #7 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart. Additionally, the 20-year-old entertainer’s release only sold an even more disappointing 102,000 copies which is about half of what it was predicted to sell a few days before its release. His last two albums, Exclusive and his self-titled debut sold 294k copies and 154k respectively. Exclusive debuted at #4 on the charts while Chris Brown opened at #2. To this date Chris has never had an album debut at #1.
One artist who hasn’t been having a hard time selling artists recently is “Britain’s Got Talent” runner-up Susan Boyle, whose album titled I Dreamed a Dream sold an impressive 582,000 copies in its third week, rounding the total number of albums sold to nearly 2 million in less than a month! The album has also been sitting in the #1 position since its initial release.
Imprisoned rapper Gucci Mane‘s sophomore album The State vs. Radric Davis moved 90,000 units putting it at the #10 position while Justin Bieber‘s My World moved 97,000 units putting it at #8. Continue reading for the full top 10!
