Rapper DMX owes Uncle Sam (also known as the IRS) over $1.5 million in back taxes. The state of New York filed a lien against the rapper (real name: Earl Simmons) and his wife Tashera in both January of this year and March 2006.
The rapper also owes the New York State Tax Commission $44,357 and $370,460 and liens were filed against the couple in 2005 and 2006 to collect the monies owed.
He is also said to owe the IRS (in the state of Arizona) from past incomes earned back in 2002, 2003 and 2005, totaling over $600,000.

DMX is the latest of hip hop stars to have a run in with the IRS. Some of our other big name rappers who aren’t on good terms with Uncle Sam right now are Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, MC Hammer and Method Man, who have all been sued by the IRS for delinquent taxes. Looks like DMX has some catching up to do before they put his azz in the dogpound!
