Actor/writer/director Tyler Perry spoke out on fellow director Spike Lee‘s comments about his projects, including his Madea films and his television shows “Meet the Browns” and “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.” And Perry didn’t hold back one bit.
Tyler Perry is one of the good guys of the entertainment business and let Lee have it. ”I would love to read that to my fan base,” Perry said. “Let me tell you what Madea, Brown and all of these characters are bait. Disarming, charming make you laugh bait so that I can slap Madea in something and talk about God, love, faith, forgiveness, family any of those things you know.”
He added that he is that he’s “insulted” and “pissed off” by comments Lee made about his work last May.
