Lil Wayne & T-Pain

If you’ve had your doubts about the joint album between T-Pain and Lil Wayne then worry no more. According to Mr. Teddy Penderass himself, they’ve already recorded a dozen tracks for their T-Wayne album, which he says is going to come out “whenever.”

“We got 12 songs right now,” Teddy P told MTV News recently about the T-Wayne sessions. “We going slow; there’s no rush. It can come out whenever. We’re gonna keep it pushing, however. It’s gonna be pushed.”

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne’s upcoming Rebirth album has a new release date: August 18th. And according to Wayne, the rock-inspired LP is finally complete and is ready to hit stores.

“Expect great music. That’s all I ever want them to expect from me,” Wayne said at the ’09 MTV Movie Awards. “I wanted to grow and show my growth as well,” he added. “It’s a difference from when you go in a room and come out and you’re better and everyone says, ‘How did you do that?’ So with this album, I wanted everyone to see my growing pains.”

First the album was supposed to come in in April … then May … then “summer 2009,” and now they’re saying August 19th. Prom Queen has basically played out and we’re not so sure everyone is as hyped about the album as they originally were. This album better be hot…
