50 Cent and Fall Out Boy are going on tour! … Together. Rapper sh*tty cent will reportedly join Fall Out Boy for 5 cities when the rockers kick off their tour in April.
“This will be a major moment in music history,” 50 Cent said in an exclusive statement to MTV News. “Joining forces with Fall Out Boy, one of the most dynamic rock bands in the industry, will be an exciting and historic event for rock and hip-hop.”
The rapper added that by joining the band on tour, he hopes to expand their fans’ musical tastes. “This is a chance for me to bring my music not only to hip-hop fans, but to a broader music audience.”
Meanwhile, the dates give Fall Out Boy the chance to tour with an artist they’ve admired for years. “We’ve been fans of 50 since we heard ‘Wanksta’ in ‘8 Mile,’ ” Pete Wentz said in a statement to MTV News. “We’ve wanted to do something with him for awhile, and having him out on the tour is gonna take the show to a whole new level. It’s exciting to bring two different genres together and give the fans a new experience”
