LeBron James is on the cover of the August 2008 issue of TIME Magazine. He’s currently working hard to push towards the gold medal in the 2008 Men’s Basketball Olympics in Beijing. He talks a little bit about how proud he was to represent the creator of basketball [USA]:

LEBRON: “It’s going to be like waking up on Christmas Day,” says James picturing himself on the stand being presented Beijing’s gold medal. “All you dreamed about this whole month was having that bike you wanted, and you get down to your living room — it’s there. It’s like one of the greatest things that has ever happened to you.”

TIME MAGAZINE: So you’re going to bring a hoops title back home to the U.S., the country that gave birth to the game, reared it and then lost the ball to more graceful global neighbors?

LEBRON: “Absolutely,” James responds. Guarantee it? “Absolutely.”

LeBron is also listed as #1 Olympic Athlete to Watch. He’s moving to bigger estates and his game is only getting better and better. Check out this brand new issue on stands now! Check out the video of the photoshoot below!
