New reports are suggesting that singer Amy Winehouse and rapper Snoop Dogg sketched out a couple of tracks together back in 2008! But we hear they couldn’t finish them because they took way too many breaks to smoke weed and were way too high to finish what they got started…
A source tells Britain’s The Sun, “Amy came to the studio buzzing with ideas and the pair got on really well, even though Snoop turned up in his dressing gown with slippers on, which had Amy giggling. They were working at a frenetic pace at first but as the day wore on and more smoke breaks took place, the work rate slackened. By the time their studio time ended they had a pair of tracks sketched out but no finished product.”
Since Amy is in all this legal trouble (Google her, baby!), getting her hands on a visa to come back to the states to finish up the tracks will be damn near impossible. And isn’t Snoop banned from the UK or something like that?
A confusing and equally disturbing report on popular entertainment website TMZ Friday suggested that Shante Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s wife of over 10 years, was dead and her body was in the basement. We didn’t believe it for a minute. And fortunately, the “rumor” (can we really call it that?) is NOT true in any way, shape, form or fashion. His people reached out to TMZ and released the following statement, saying that the rumors were “totally ridiculous and most of all hurtful to Snoop Dogg and his family.”
“Of course, the CHP rumors are absolutely not true, totally ridiculous, and most of all hurtful to Snoop Dogg and his family. Snoop, Shante and their family are all alive and well – we appreciate the fans concerns for their safety. Anything said or reported on regarding the death of Shante Broadus is totally false.”
Rapper Snoop Dogg was the headlining performer Tuesday night at the “Our World Live” concert in Hollywood at the Avalon. The event, sponsored by Microsoft, was broadcast live via Microsoft Silverlight in HD including 5 camera angles that the fans can choose between to customize how they personally see the show. Rapper Snoop Dogg surprised the world by announcing to the BBC Sunday that he was a member of the Nation of Islam. The “Doggfather” made the announcement at the annual Saviours’ Day event in Chicago after listening to a message from Louis Farakkhan, leader of the Nation of Islam. Snoop told reporters that in becoming a Muslim, he feels as if he was “doing what’s right and representing what’s right.”
“I’m an advocate for peace, I’ve been in the peace movement ever since I’ve been making music. My whole thing is not about really trying to push my thing on you. It’s just about the way I live, and I live how I’m supposed to live as far as doing what’s right and representing what’s right – that’s why I was here today.”
Other celebrities who are members of the Nation of Islam include rapper/actor Ice Cube and boxing legend Muhammad Ali. We’re all for people finding “spiritual enlightenment” or whatever, but you have to admit … hearing about Snoop Dogg becoming a Muslism is completely RANDOM!

DJ Drama, T.I., Snoop Dogg and Akon were spotted on the set of DJ Drama’s latest music video for his new single, “Daydreamin.” The video was filmed in Hollwood, CA and here are the photos from last night’s shoot. This will probably be T.I.’s last music video appearance (if he doesn’t release his own) before he heads back to jail for one year beginning in March of this year.
