RSS FEED FAQs:

What is an RSS Feed?

“RSS” is short for Really Simple Syndication (or Rich Site Summary). A website’s RSS Feed is basically a lightweight XML-based technology for sharing Web content. Gossip On This! currently offers several RSS feeds, each of which contains a headline, a short summary of the post and a link back to Gossip On This! for the full thing. And the best part about it is that this service is 100% free! We’re basically notifying you whenever we update without you actually having to visit the website. How cool is that?

How do I use RSS?

To use RSS, you will need an RSS news reader or feed aggregator. There are a number of different news readers, many of which are available for free. Most news readers are freestanding applications that you download and install to your computer, while others are web-based services that work with your browser (ex: Google Reader).

In order to subscribe to GOT’s news feeds, you will need to select at least one of the feed and load them into the reader of your choice. Usually clicking on the link will bring you to a page with a ton of options.
