Hollywood funnyman Will Ferrell has hinted that he could possibly become a regular cast member on NBC‘s hit show “The Office.”

Ferrell is currently scheduled to join the hilarious show later this season as a home office branch manager much like Steve Carell’s departing character Michael Scott.

“My character’s name is Deangelo Vickers,” Ferrell recently told Entertainment Weekly. “He loves the American South West and he’s just kind of in his own way going to step into Michael Scott’s shoes and try to fill them.”

Ferell continued:

“I’m friends with Steve and a fan of the show, and I just selfishly wanted to do one episode with him and they pitched multiple ones and I said, ‘That’d be great.'”

Ferrell has signed on to appear in four episodes, but when asked if the job has become a regular role, he replied:

“Yeah. A regular, full-time gig.”

This season is sure to be funny as hell!

Ferrell’s first appearance on the hit comedy series airs on TV on April 14th, but in the meantime, check out a (really) short clip released by NBC below:
