Lindsay Lohan will NOT accept any jail time…whatsoever! But she might not have a choice…
Earlier today (Thu. Mar 10), Lindsay received a continuance in court so she can have a bit more time to mull over the judge’s offer, which, not surprisingly, involves jail time.
As reported by TMZ, no deal was struck Wednesday night during a meeting in chambers with Judge Keith Schwartz, Lindsay’s attorney Shawn Holley and Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers.
Judge Schwartz had previously stated that if Lindsay didn’t cop a plea Thursday morning he’d send the case out to a trial judge. However, the judge is now allowing Lindsay more time to really think his offer over.
Prosecutors originally offered Lohan six months in jail and three months felony probation if she were to cop to stealing the $2,500 diamond necklace back in January. But Lindsay adamantly refused.
Now the case is headed to a preliminary hearing where if the judge handling that hearing finds that there is enough evidence to put Lohan before a jury, that new judge could very well (and more than likely will) lock her up immediately for violating her DUI probation.
So either way you spin it, Lilo is looking at jail time.
Note to Lindsay: TAKE THE DEAL!
