A woman from Massachusetts caught a 900 pound gator in Florence County, South Carolina this week. Mary Ellen Mara-Christian reeled the beast in with a fishing pole (now that’s some damn good strength) and fought hard for two hours until she captured him in the boat. She also shot and stabbed the gator…to the make the job a little easier. Overall, the gator was 13 ft. tall and took a tractor to move because it was eight times her size.
Now that’s one big gator!
