It’s this new group from Chicago named Hot Stylz. I thought Chicago was the only people that knew about this group! The name of Hot Stylz’s new single is called “Lookin’ Boy” featuring Yung Joc. It’s kinda hard to explain but in Chi-town when you just talking about somebody for about a good 10-15 minutes we call it a “roasting session” and we also called it “heating”. It’s fun and it mad funny! You just say a lot of stuff that most of the time don’t even make sense. Check out the video to get a concept.

    This is “The Dozens.” It does not simply pertain to something that people only do in Chicago.

    It happens all over the country in Black communities and has been going on for decades.

    My great-grandmother used to talk about it.

    I didn’t say this only happens in Chicago. I was referring what the artists in this particular song meant. Many other people use different names as well. Like I said in Chicago, we called it “roasting” and “heating” some called it “bag” or”gun”. I didn’t say it was something new…don’t feel offended or left out…

    I thought Chicago was too, but I guess when they added it to youtube, it more exposure. They actually changed it a little, cuz I don’t remember young joc being in the original one. It’s nice they might get a little money from it, but how long can they 15 minutes last. We’ll see them on the west side chillin with the raped, robbed and broke crucial conflict and twista.

    I like this song, but that’s messed up how they say this song was made already. It’s even worse that is was over a year ago. I understand how somebody can take something and make it not necessarily better, but different and then more people here that version. I just think Joc and Hotstyles need to give credit where credit is due you know. Macnificent and JP need to be getting some money, a mention or even an appearance in the song or the video. they definately deserve some money though. I would say they might haven sold rights to the song, but I dont even know if they had legal rights, since everybody say it was just on myspace.
