Obama Rejects Idea of Being Vice President

(CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama flatly rejected suggestions Monday he would be a vice presidential running mate for Sen. Hillary Clinton. Clinton, Obama’s rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, and her husband, former President Clinton, have suggested a joint Clinton-Obama ticket — with Obama in the second slot. President Clinton Saturday suggested a Clinton-Obama ticket would be “unstoppable.”
“He would win the urban areas and the upscale voters. She would win the rural areas that we lost when President Reagan was president,” he said while campaigning in Pass Christian, Mississippi. “If you put those two things together, you’d have an almost unstoppable force.”
Obama forcefully shot that idea down.
“Sen. Clinton is fighting hard. She’s tenacious. I respect her for that. She is working hard to win the nomination. But I want everybody to be absolutely clear. I’m not running for vice president. I’m running for president of the United States of America,” Obama told supporters during a rally in Columbus, Mississippi.
If anyone should be suggesting vice presidential candidates, it should be him, Obama said.
“With all due respect. I won twice as many states as Sen. Clinton. I’ve won more of the popular vote than Sen. Clinton. I have more delegates than Sen. Clinton. So, I don’t know how somebody who’s in second place is offering vice presidency to the person who’s in first place,” he said.

DEMOCRATS ARE AIMING TO SHOOT THEMSELVES IN THE FOOT APPARENTLY. WHAT REPUBLICANS ARE ROUTING FOR OBAMA TO WIN NOT THAT HE IS A BETTER CANDIDATE BUT RATHER THE FACT THAT DESPITE HIS POPULARITY HE IS MUCH INEXPERIENCE TO SERVE AND HAS ALOT TO LEARN ABOUT POLITICS. DUE TO BUSH’S NEGLIGENCE, IT SEEM THAT THE DEMOCRATS WERE GOING TO TAKE OFFICE THIS NOVEMEBER, BUT THEY ARE DOOM TO FALL IF THEY DONT GET THE PROPER REPRESENTATION. THAT IS IF OBAMA IS ELECTED THE REPUBLICANS WIN, THEN THIS COUNTRY CONTINUES ON ITS DOWNFALL . GOOD LUCK AT THE POLLS. LETS BE SMART AND MAKE THE SMARTER CHOICE. CLINTON FOR 08′

Oh hush, #1. Trust me, if Clinton wins the democratic nomination, McCain has got it in the bag. If Obama wins, it’s going to be tough. Obama can beat McCain – not Hilary. Ask hilary how many bills she’s passed or something. NONE. Her 3AM ad is nothing but bull. Obama is just far to respectful to go attacking her like she does him. It’s about damn time he gets dirty.
The reason Republicans are fighting Obama is because they know he’ll be a threat if he wins. None of them are attacking Clinton. Use common sense.

#1 if you pay any attention @ all… all the republicans want Hillary 2 win because they know she can be beaten. Obama not so much. Get the right info before you make an ignorant comment as it seems ms. Clinton and her supporters seem to do very well!
