Beyonce was spotted on the hot sunny Miami beach Thursday morning shooting a new music video with an unidentifiable extra in the video as well. We’re still waiting for her to add her husband Jay-Z to a video that he’s not a featured artist on. Sort of like how Robin Thicke puts his wife, Paula Patton, in his videos.

So Lil’ Wayne and his people are really going through with this “Prom Queen” sh*t, huh. ((Shrugs)) If you can’t beat ’em, you may as well join ’em. Anyway, our friends over at Rap-Up.com reported a few days ago that Weezy shot the video for “Prom Queen” last Thursday at Birmingham High School in the San Fernando Valley. The Dwayne Carter/Dave Meyers-directed clip will feature cameos from Birdman and Slim.
Champion Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps can breathe easy now because he won’t be charged for those infamous photos of him smoking pot through a bong at a party near the vicinity of University of South Carolina’s campus in Columbia, SC. The photo made its way around the internet throughout the first part of February, and after a ridiculously stupid “investigation,” Richland Country Sheriff Leon Lott said Monday that he wouldn’t be charging Michael for smoking weed through a bong. Shortly after Monday’s announcement, Phelps put the following up on his Facebook page:
“I’m glad this matter is put to rest. But there are also some important lessons that I’ve learned. For me, it’s all about recognizing that I used bad judgment and it’s a mistake I won’t make again. For young people especially — be careful about the decisions you make. One bad decision can really hurt you and the people you care about. I really appreciate the support my family and fans have shown me and now I will move forward and dive back into the pool, having put this whole thing behind me.”
Well that’s good to hear. Shouldn’t low-country South Carolina have more important things to worry about anyway? A dude getting high should be the least of their worries! The law is always trying to make an example out of somebody…

“They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill,” is what one of the officers in the editorial cartoon above say after shooting a chimpanzee three times in the chest/abdomen. The chimpanzee is laying in the grass, obviously dead, with blood surrounding its body. This piece of sh*t, illustrated by cartoonist Sean Delonas, was published on the New York Posts‘ website and in the print version of the popular news publication.
But wait, President Barack Obama just signed a stimulus bill into action, didn’t he? He sure did. So does that mean the New York Post is racist? It sure does. And Rev. Al Sharpton thinks so too! Below is a statement he released earlier today:
“The cartoon in today’s New York Post is troubling at best given the historic racist attacks of African-Americans as being synonymous with monkeys. One has to question whether the cartoonist is making a less than casual reference to this when in the cartoon they have police saying after shooting a chimpanzee that “Now they will have to find someone else to write the stimulus bill.”
“Being that the stimulus bill has been the first legislative victory of President Barack Obama (the first African American president) and has become synonymous with him it is not a reach to wonder are they inferring that a monkey wrote the last bill?”
This horribly offensive cartoon also comes just two days after a 200 pound pet chimpanzee was shot to death by police officers after the animal suddenly attacked a family friend, ripping half of her face off. Doctors say it took 7 hours of surgery to stabilize the victim. What do you think about the cartoon? Is it really that offensive or are people reading into it too much? We say it’s F*****G OFFENSIVE!

Low cost wireless provider Cricket Communications has partnered with the 18-year-old rapper to launch a brand new music store that will allow customers to purchase songs and download them directly to their mobile phones or computers. The network is attempting to be sort of a “one stop shop” that offers both mobile content and network services. Cricket believes Soulja Boy’s latest single “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” will drive users to the service. R&B star Solange Knowles was admitted to a hospital when she collapsed after downing flu pills on a flight out of New York on Tuesday night (Feb. 17th 2009). Beyonce’s younger sister was treated by medics after taking the capsules on board a plane and suffering an adverse reaction to the medication. Her muddled mental state was laid bare in a series of bizarre postings on social networking website Twitter.com which she uploaded during the journey. But three hours into the trip, her messages suddenly stopped after she complained of feeling sleepy – and three hours later she logged back on to the website to tell fans: “Woaah…… How’d I end up in the hospital?”
President Barack Obama has signed the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law on Tuesday after a grueling and long debate between Democrats & Republicans on whether the bill should be passable to revive our crumbling economy.
Before signing the bill, the President quickly reassured Americans of the long road ahead to better economic times and that of course this package would not quickly solve all of our problems.
Today does not mark the end of our economic troubles,” Obama said before signing the bill at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. “But it does mark the beginning of the end – the beginning of what we need to do to create jobs for Americans scrambling in the wake of layoffs; to provide relief for families worried they won’t be able to pay next month’s bills; and to set our economy on a firmer foundation.

With the recovery package signed, Obama is now putting his attention on the housing market. He will travel to Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday to reveal his $50 billion foreclosure prevention program to help homeowners who are struggling to keep their homes. Phoenix is one of the cities that has been hit the hardest according to foreclosure numbers. There hasn’t been many details given according to this program, however officials are looking to lend a hand to homeowners who are in danger of defaulting on their mortgages and for those who find themselves unable to keep up with the payments.
