Rapper Kanye West and tv personality Kim Kardashian are both featured on the covers of the April/May 2009 issue of Complex Magazine.
Complex went digital with Kanye’s cover, transorming him into some futuristic super being. Which is pretty much what Kanye’s career has turned into over the years. We’ve given up on figuring it out, and Kanye’s feature in Complex basically tells you to give up on figuring it out too. He’s Kanye and here to stay.
On the flip-side, Complex revisits Kim Kardashian’s first cover with them, which marked her very first magazine cover ever. And now 2 years later, she’s this big “star.” But for what? She has a banging body and like or not, she’s a damn good business woman. Her whole life has been her business and she knows how to properly market her brand.

Like our friends from The Cynical Ones, we noticed how Ciara politely swagger jacked a few of Beyonce‘s videos. The premise of Ciara’s “Sex Love Magic” video is basically look at the kitty kat diva in her freakum dress getting bodied trying to be Justin Timberlake’s suga mama.
While I’m sure her intentions were to get me to focus on how sexy she is and forget how mediocre her material has been thus far, all I can think about after watching this is how much of a wack ass she is. This video looks like a tribute to the Beyonce anthology, and while Beyonce is not an originator by any stretch at least when she jacks something she makes it her own — which is what you’re supposed to do when you bite.
Christina Milian and The Dream were spotted enjoying the sun and the beautiful Hawaii ocean in Maui Sunday afternoon… But we’ve gotta let it be known that we think these two are some funny characters. First they put up this front of being “just friends,” now all of a sudden they’re holding hands and playing kissy-face in Hawaii … not even a month after trying to play like they weren’t sleeping with each other. According to People, rapper Kanye West is planning to expand his professional resume and include “animiated series” into his portfolio. The Chicago native, along with actresses Sanaa Lathan and Taraji P. Henson will star in the new Family Guy spin-off series, “The Cleveland Show.” Sanaa plays Cleveland’s wife, Donna, and will be a regular on the show.
“It was surprising to us that [he] was so into it that he came to the table [read], and wonderfully surprising how cool he was, how funny he was and how unassuming he was,” says executive producer Mike Henry, who voices Cleveland Brown and other characters on the show. “He’s just a great presence.” West then spent three hours in the studio Friday laying down his voice as not-so-mega-star rapper Kenny West.
“We knew Kanye was a big Family Guy fan because he invited [creator] Seth [MacFarlane] to his house a year or two ago,” adds Henry. “And there was a mention on his blog when the spin-off was announced that he was excited about it. We knew he was a big fan and a lot of us are fans of his.”
Singer/songwriter BC Jean, who helped pen “If I Were A Boy” by Beyonce, signed a recording contract with Clive Davis‘ J Records after reportedly being pursued by multiple record labels. RCA made the announcement Monday. BC made a pretty big name for herself as the co-writer for Beyonce’s If I Were A Boy, and has a slew of other songs penned for her debut album, anticipated for release at the end of 2009. Hailing from San Diego, BC is currently recording material for her debut album in Los Angeles and New York, and is working with superstar producers Dallas Austin (Gwen Stefani, Pink), The Matrix (Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne) and Toby Gad (Fergie, Beyonce). Toby Gad also co-wrote If I Were A Boy with BC.
Angela Simmons, one half of the dynamic Simmons sister duo, was spotted without her other half as she left a tanning salon in Sunset Plaza in Los Angeles Monday afternoon.
