The first promo for Oprah Winfrey‘s highly anticipated interview with Lindsay Lohan has arrived!
Though it’s only a few seconds long, we do get a taste of the types of questions Oprah asks, and she’s not messing around. “Are you an addict?” she asks the 27-year-old before she attempts to find out what it’s like to be the definitive example of a “child star gone wrong.”
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until August 18 to see how Lohan responds but something tells us it’s going to be one of the more honest interviews Lohan has given. Oprah does that to people.
During an appearance on CBS this Morning to promote her film “The Butler,” the talk show Queen acknowledged that many have been apprehensive about her decision to conduct a post-rehab interview with the troubled starlet. But in her view, “The Canyons” star couldn’t be a better interview subject.
“I don’t know why people are doubting.” she said. “We are all on the same journey, we’re just taking different paths to get there. You fail, you fall down in your life. You certainly have the opportunity, until you take your last breath, to be redeemed.”
“I felt that she was honest, that she was authentic, and that she is ready,” Mama O added.
In addition to the interview, which will be featured on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” the OWN network will also air an eight-part docu-series on the actress’ life.
