Rapper/producer Swizz Beatz hosted the 3rd Annual Art Auction Fundraiser to benefit the Bronx Charter School for the Arts at 1OAK last Tuesday night (May 17) in New York City. R&B singer Estelle was also in the building and hit the stage to perform for the event. Other celebs spotted at the event were singer Shontelle and “Gossip Girl” actress Tika Sumpter.
In addition to artwork created throughout the past year by students at the Bronx Charter School for the Arts, the auction also featured pieces donated by Beatz’ wife Alicia Keys, and his friends Jay-Z and Beyonce. NBA stars Tony Parker, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire also contributed pieces. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Bronx Arts’ 2011-2012 After-school program.
