Pop idol Rihanna owes Britney Spears a big thank you!
After sitting on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart at the #2 position for a few weeks, she has finally snagged the #1 spot with her “S&M” Remix, knocking Katy Perry’s Kanye West featured single “E.T.” off of the top spot.
Having Brit-Brit feature on the remix of S&M was genius as both the original and remix versions have sold a staggering 293,000 copies last week.
This makes Britney Spears’ fifth #1 and Rihanna’s tenth. It also serves as the third #1 single from Rihanna’s current album Loud.
This just proves that Ri-Ri’s reign is far from over!
