Reps for Enrique Iglesias are dismissing rumors that the Pop star and his longtime girlfriend Anna Kournikova have split up.
Speculation about a possible break-up between the couple arose when folks started noticing that Enrique has been spending long periods of time away from his former tennis star babe to promote his latest album. But the singer’s reps say that even though he and his girlfriend are a part physically, they’re still together emotionally.
“They are definitely together. Enrique has been out of the country on a promotional tour, so maybe that’s where the speculation is coming from,” the spokesman told Page Six.
Iglesias and Kournikova have been dating since 2002, but have no plans to marry anytime soon according to Iglesias, who was quoted last year as saying: “I’m in a place right now where I don’t want to get married. I don’t think in this day and age you need to. If there are children involved that’s a different story.”
Enrique Iglesias’ latest album Euphoria was released over the summer and the album’s single “I Like It” was well received here in the United States (it peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100).
