Director Antoine Fuqua (“Brooklyn’s Finest”, “Tears of the Sun”, “Training Day”, etc.) has revealed that he is working on a biopic on late rapper Tupac Shakur. The film will be produced by Morgan Creek Productions and is expected to start shooting in September. As for the actor that will portray the rap legend, Fuqua states that he is hoping to find a new face to fill the role:

“That’s the goal. I want to discover someone new. … I want to discover a lot of new people if I can. Obviously I’m going to have to put some people in it that you know, just because actors have different skills. I want to go to the streets and find him anywhere he might be in the world.”

In the Notorious B.I.G. biopic that his theaters in 2009, actor Anthony Mackie played the role of Tupac.

How do you feel about a film on Tupac and who do you think should play the lead role?
