Def Jam leaked a few photos of Rihanna filming her new music video for “Rude Boy,” the latest single from her latest album Rated R. And it looks like she’s taking it back to her “Jamaican Dancehall” days with this one! Rihanna herself says the video, directed by Melina Matsoukas, will be very colorful and is completely different from her last few music videos.
“[It’s] completely different from any other video I’ve shot before,” she told Carson Daly on his Amp Radio show. “A lot of my videos are really dark and edgy and tough. ‘Rude Boy’ is more playing along the lines from my roots.”
