R&B/soul songstress Mary J. Blige hosted an album signing at a Best Buy in New York City Tuesday (Dec 22) for her new album Stronger With Each Tear, which hit stores this past Monday (Dec 21).
Mary J says she’s able to retain her spot in the industry because she stays in tune with what young people want to hear.
“I always get inspired back from the Rihannas and the Beyonces,” the 38-year-old says. “You just have to be open enough to learn from another generation. … That’s being a smart person and that’s why I’m always able to be just right there – not doing what they do, but what I do.”
The Grammy Award winning singer also paid a visit to Sirius XM satellite radio’s NYC studio Monday (Dec 21) to perform tracks from the new album. Continue reading for more pics…
