Despite a heavy snowstorm on the U.S. East Coast, pop star Rihanna and rapper Jay-Z battled the bone-chilling cold air and performed their hit single “Run This Town” in New York City’s bone-chilling Rockefeller Center Saturday (Dec 19) for NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly television special, which is set to air on next Thursday night on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) beginning at 10 PM. In addition to “Run This Town,” (minus Kanye West‘s verse because he wasn’t there) Rihanna also performed songs from her new album Rated R.
And speaking of Kanye West, rumor has it Rihanna and the Chicago bred rapper were spotted getting extra cozy at London hot spot Whisky Mist. A “source” told UK tabloid The Daily Mirror that Ri gave Yeezy a “very private dance,” among other things during their night out, though the anonymous snitch wouldn’t reveal the actual date this supposedly occurred.
Our mole says: “When Kanye came in, he immediately gave her a huge hug and kiss, and sat down with her. The pair were chatting at length, ignoring everyone else. Then Mariah’s All I Want For Christmas Is You came on. Rihanna stood up with a couple of pals and started waving her hands in the air. She stood in front of Kanye giving him the benefit of a very private dance – and he loved every second. When people started filtering out of the club at 3am, Rihanna was still in a party mood – so the group had their very own lock-in, with free-flowing drinks and their choice in music. They left around 4.30am.”
