Rihanna performs at her free concert hosted by MySpace & JetBlue

In an effort to promote her new album Rated R, pop singer Rihanna performed live onstage at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City Thursday night (Dec 3) for a free concert hosted by MySpace and JetBlue. Some of her fans reportedly waited a whopping 19 hours to see the singer perform her hits, including “Disturbia,” “Please Don’t Stop the Music,” and “Umbrella” and songs from her new album, like “Russian Roulette,” “Wait Your Turn” and “Hard.”

Initial fans lined up outside the Hammerstein Ballroom right at midnight so that they could be included in the 800 people that were let into the door at 7:30 PM (doors were supposed to open at 7). Rihanna didn’t hit the stage until about 8:20 P.M. and only performed for about 40 minutes.
