In our exclusive election coverage post, which remained perched at the top of GOT’s home page for several hours before Obama’s victory was announced, over 1,300 visitors participated in the poll which posed the question “which ticket did you vote for?” I’m sure several people who are not registered, and who probably didn’t vote, took a part in the poll, but the fact of the matter is over 1,200 votes went to Barack Obama, while only a little over 180 voted for McCain. Us everyday Americans weren’t the only ones excited last night when it was officially announced that Barack Obama had been elected the 44th President of the United States of America! (Sidebar: Wow, it feels really good to be able to say that) Stars like Oprah Winfrey, Spike Lee, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas all showed their excitement last night at Grant Park in Chicago, IL, where they were in the midst of a crowd of over 200,000 people cheering on President-Elect Obama.
