With all that rapper T.I. has been through over the past few years, you’d think when it comes to the law, the guy would “cross his t’s and dot his i’s” (PUN INTENDED) ….. but apparently, that’s totally not the case!

According to the always reliable TMZ, T.I. and his new wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested late last night (Wed. Sep 1) and booked for the “alleged possession of a controlled substance.”

Law enforcement sources say that L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled the newlyweds over in their Maybach on Sunset Boulevard last night at around 10:00 PM. Deputies say they caught a whiff of that “sticky green” (aka marijuana) and after searching the vehicle, found a controlled substance. Sources tell TMZ that the “the controlled substance was not cocaine, but rather the class of controlled substance that triggered the arrest includes methamphetamines and ecstasy.”

T.I. and Tiny, who just got married on July 30th in Miami, were booked on felony possession of a controlled substance and were in custody on $10,000 bond before being released at around 4:00 AM this morning.

T.I. is currently on probation after doing nearly 1 year in prison on federal weapons charges.
