Kara DioGuardi Shocked About Being Fired from American Idol

Accomplished songwriter/producer turned TV personality Kara DioGuardi is shocked that she was axed from American Idol in favor of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. According to TMZ, American Idol fired DioGuardi and is going back to three judges instead of four, with Lopez and Tyler joining Idol veteran Randy Jackson. And the only way Kara could get her spot back is if the J.Lo deal falls apart, but reports suggest that the deal is done.

“Kara loved judging Idol,” a source said. “She’s horrified that she’s just being tossed aside like this. “She understands the show is in need of a revamp, but Kara really thought she had a job for as long as she wanted it. She’s beside herself.”

Aww, poor Kara!

    Well, I am not a BIG Kara fan but I’m even less a J-Lo fan. Talk about no talent. Her career is in the toilet, so what does “American Idol” do, they offer this dud singer a job as a judge on a singing competition. How nuts is that! At least Kara has a background in song writing. Jennifer Lopez has absolutely nothing to offer a show like this. She is a beautiful woman who walks the red carpet nicely but that’s about it. Don’t even call her an actress either. Her last film, “The back up plan” is going to get her the razzie for worst actress 2010. Hello can anyone recall anything this woman has done that’s good in the last decade?

    I thought Kara was the only thing to save the show after Simon left. She usually agreed with Simon who is the only one who’s opinion was right! Bad move A.I. !!

    Kara was a wonderful judge. She really knows the music business, she always seemed to give great advice and opinion, on top of that she is stunningly beautiful. I think AI has made a big mistake letting her go…..

    another thing…if they really wanted someone to replace simon and have a little tension between them and Kara they should have chosen Katy Perry….they didnt seem to get a long very well, but it would have made some interesting bantering between the two!

    I’m glad to see her go. Kara was a terrible judge and never fit in. She was like a sore thumb sticking out in the group. She didn’t have a personality of her own and was more of a gimmick than a judge. After she lost that singing contest against bikini girl, I was just counting down the days before AI trimmed this fat. J-lo is 100x better in every regard.

    A.I. is a money grubbing, low-life show that should’ve ended when Paula left and perhaps even before that. It was going down the toilet. Out of all of the “talents” that they have discovered, only a handful were actually worth the searching for. So I am not surprised that they would do something like this but to Kara DioGuardi? She is the only one now that knows what she is talking about. What the hell is wrong with A.I. They are no longer looking for talent. They are beating a dead horse and are trying to milk more money for as long as they can with this now ridiculous show. That is probably why I stopped watching.

    Steven Tyler???? Can he even walk??? How long will he stick this out? How about through the auditions??,,,,,,he will be absent everyday. Can’t they just find some normal intelligent people that we can grow to love, and won’t be tearing at the shows stability by injecting character expectations? Isn’t it about the contestants? Did we start watching the show because we were all excited that Simon Cowell was going to be a judge (nobody even knew him out here in normalville). Now they think it is all about the judges…..And they will also lose it if they keep having only the kind of guest singers on, that they presented this year—–as MANY of us are not 12, or even 24, and MANY of us HATE rap……and GOOD GRIEF,,,Adam Lambert as a mentor—–takes away the whole purpose of having Mentors
