Bedstuy, Brooklyn, 1979 – A star is born … Deemi! True story about a young girl with a voice & dream that the harsh reality of life almost destroyed. Fate would not allow her to be a victim. She found hope through her music, transforming her words into a source of strength, using her experiences as the inspiration for her lyrics, becoming a survivor and inspiration to herself and others around her. No all star cast, no scripts, no budgets, no special effects. Just drugs & violence, sex & crying.

Our interview with Musiq Soulchild went pretty well today. He answered all of our questions, and he seems like a pretty honest and down-to-earth guy. Unfortunately, the software we use to record interviews kind of messed up on us and the audio is not synchronized. I will try my best to pull out some parts of the interview, but you won’t be able to able to hear the audio this time around. But the good news is that we isolated the problem, and we are positive that something like this won’t happen again in the future. But all is not lost! We are scheduled to do another interview with Musiq sometime after his album, “Luvanmusiq” drops in March, so I’m looking really forward to that!
Musiq’s new video for Buddy has been out for a while now, but apparantly no one recorded it and put it up on the web. It is currently MIA on the youtube website! Luckily, my girl Amanda from Atlantic Records sent me the video and you guys can check it out after the jump.
Also, I am scheduled to interview Musiq Soulchild himself tomorrow afternoon, and if you guys have any questions of your own that you want me to throw in, let me know here. I can’t guarantee that I will be able to get them into the interview, but I will definitely try my best. Variety is always welcome! Remember, the VIDEO is after the jump below!
EDIT: Alright guys, the Musiq Soulchild Interview is complete, check it out HERE! CONTINUE READING
You know, my mom has always told me that if I don’t have ANYTHING nice to say, then DON’T say it AT ALL! So I’m just gonna leave it up to you guys to comment on this *clears throat* fantastic performance from the original Effie White – Jennifer Holliday. Enjoy! WARNING: The video below may cause extreme laughter, and is very painful to watch! Proceed with caution…
I actually feel kinda sorry for her… What was the point in her doing this?!

Well folks it is about that time again, the 2007 Oscars! I don’t know about you all but personally I myself can not wait, there will be so much to talk about come Oscar time, like who won what, who showed up looking an absolute H.A.M. and of course who won Best Dressed!! But all I know is my peeps  Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamonds), Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls)better take home something or I’m going to be highly pissed, although some people did not believe Eddie Murphy should have been nominated in his category do to the fact of his erhmm ”Norbit“ movie being released RIGHT BEFORE OSCARS, concerned that it might interfere with his outstanding cinematic role in the boardway play, turned movie, Dreamgirls. Anywho, let us continue with this years 2007 Oscar nominees.
