20-year-old single mother Bristol Palin earned a hefty paycheck for her work as an abstinence ambassador (even though she clearly does not practice that). According to the AP, the daughter of former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin made $262,000 as the Candie’s Foundation’s spokeswoman.
Bristol made headlines when she became pregnant by her now ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston, 20, during her mother and John McCain’s 2008 run for the White House. She gave birth to her son Tripp, now 2, in December 2009 at age 18, which ignited nationwide controversy because of her mother’s strong stance on abstinence only sex education for teens.
The figures behind Bristol’s massive paycheck came from a Candie’s Foundation tax form from 2009.
In addition to her hefty earnings at speaking engagements, Bristol also earned an undisclosed amount for her 2010 stint on Dancing with the Stars.
