Last Friday (Jul 6) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, the 2012 Essence Music Festival kicked off with an array of music’s finest taking to the stage, including Keyshia Cole, Trey Songz and D’Angelo.
Keyshia hit the stage and performed her new single “Enough of No Love,” while R&B crooner Trey Songz got the ladies in the crowd going with his third Essence appearance.
And hot off his performance at the BET Awards earlier this month, D’Angelo also hit the stage at the annual Essence Music Festival, continuing his recent string of comeback performances. The soulful singer wooed the crowd with hits such as “You’re My Lady,” “Untitled (How Does It Feel),” and his new single “Ain’t That Easy.”
