Disney’s “The Lion King 3D” is still the #1 movie in the country after bringing in $22.1 million over this past weekend, stealing the coveted spot from Brad Pitt’s “Moneyball,” which came in at a close #2 with $20.6 million in box office sales, followed by “Dolphin Tale” (featuring Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd), which brought in $20.3 million.

So far, Lion King 3D, which has only been out for 10 days, has earned $61.7 million domestically. It has earned over $70 million worldwide.

Other movies released this weekend were “Abduction” (starring Taylor Lautner) and “Killer Elite” (Robert DeNiro and Jason Statham).
