Actress Kristin Chenoweth and openly gay actor Sean Hayes shared a steamy make-out session Sunday night (Jun 13) on stage at the 64th Annual Tony Awards, which aired live on TV from Radio City Hall in New York City.
The actors came up with idea for the gag after Newsweek published an article last month saying that since Hayes is open with his homosexuality, he isn’t convincing as Chenoweth’s on-stage husband in the Broadway musical “Promises, Promises.” So instead of speaking out about the controversial piece, Kristin and Sean made out during Sean’s opening monologue at the Tony’s last night, where he served as the evening’s host.
After planting the long, wet kiss on Chenoweth, Hayes gave her a little pat on the booty as the actress walked offstage.
“I know what you’re thinking – she’s too short for me.”
