Pop singer Lady Gaga brought out Kid Cudi (who arrived late and didn’t get to perform his solo set) and they performed an acoustic version of “Poker Face” / “Make Her Say” during the Montreal stop of Gaga’s “Monster Ball Tour.” Before Cudi performed, Lady G had some choice words for the crowd:
“You know what music is about? Music is about bringing all people together! Music has no f**king religion, it has no f**king color, no f**king genre, it has no politics and it has no money, it’s f**king free!”
She had us until she got to the “it has no money” part. Music has A LOT of money and we the people (for the most part) give it to artists when we buy their albums, singles and pay for tickets to their shows. And let’s not forget the brands and companies that pay big bucks for celebrity endorsement deals.
