IT’S PLEASURE P!
In an effort to promote his debut album, Pleasure P, formerly of the group Pretty Ricky, performed Monday afternoon (Nov 16) in front of his fans at the WGCI Coca Cola Lounge in Chicago, IL.
After releasing 2 albums with Pretty Ricky, Pleasure decided it’d be best for him to break away from the group and become his own man as a solo R&B artist. And so far, that move has turned out to be a smart one! Pretty Ricky isn’t doing so well these days and they rely on Spectacular’s (aka SpecTANGular) homo-erotic antics to maintain their relevancy all on account of their music not being able to do it for them. Sad story when you think about it.
And what’s the story on their relationship? When they first came out, weren’t they advertising that they were “brothers” or something? If that’s the case, then why does Pleasure P always, in essence, throw shade on his former group if they’re indeed blood brothers? So many questions, not enough answers … and we’re pretty sure no one cares enough to give us answers.
Anyway, Pleasure P’s first solo album The Introduction of Marcus Cooper was released in June 2009 but hasn’t done so well on the mainstream charts, but he’s holding his own for the most part on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. But things could be worse. He could still be with Pretty Ricky! (Yikes!)
