Singer Toni Braxton, who has been headlining her live show “Toni Braxton: Revealed” five days a week at the Flamingo in Las Vegas since 2006, was admitted to a hospital for chest pains Monday night, reports People. She was released Tuesday afternoon.
The spokeswoman for the American Heart Association has spoken in public about her heart condition, pericarditis – an inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart, and her being diagnosed with hypertension.
Don Marrandino, president of Flamingo Las Vegas had the following to say:
“We wish Toni a quick recovery and would like her to take the time she needs to regain optimal health. We are looking forward to her return at the end of the week.”
