THE GAME DISMISSED ON CHARGES OF IMPERSONATING A POLICE OFFICER

THE GAME IS FREE … FOR NOW AT LEAST! » A New York judge dismissed police impersonation charges against The Game today on the grounds that he stay out of trouble for the next six months. Now this incident happened before T2W’s time, but back here in November, Jayceon Taylor (Game’s government) was arrested for allegedly impersonating a police officer. Now why he would do something like that is beyond me. He apparently bombarded an NYC taxi cub and flashed a fake badge to the driver. Prosecutors claim the rapper told the driver he was an undercover officer and encouraged him to run several red stoplights on Lexington Avenue before being pulled over. I’m guessing he had somewhere “important” to be! Haha. According to the Associated Press, Judge Marc Whiten gave Game a conditional discharge. If Game is not arrested again within six months, the misdemeanor charge will be dropped and the case file sealed. Game reportedly left the courthouse smiling saying: “I love New York, but I hate the system. I hate every system.”

But Game’s not through with the law just yet! He is due in court next Tuesday (Sept. 25th) to stand trial on three felony charges stemming from an incident in February when he allegedly had a gun in his possession during a high school basketball game in LA. If convicted, the rapper could be sentenced to more than five years in prison.

ANOTHER MIAMI HEAT PLAYER TO DIVORCE HIS WIFE! » This hasn’t been confirmed yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be true. Miami Heat player Dwayne Wade and his wife Siohvaughn are calling it quits. Here’s what THE BIG LEAD had to say:

If you see some women wandering the streets of Miami this weekend with that money-hungry look in their eyes, it’s probably because Shaq isn’t the only bachelor in town – D. Wade is also getting divorced, so sayeth Miami Sports Blog. Nobody who parties in Miami is surprised by this. The couple has been together for quite some time … so he’ll probably be out $10 million. At least.

You know “how we does!” We’ll keep you posted on this, LOL.

KANYE’S SLOWLY BURNING HIS BRIDGES WITH MTV…

DAMMIT KANYE! YOU AND THAT EGO… » The New York Daily News is reporting that Kanye West has worn out his welcome at MTV following his infamous backstage rant at the Video Music Awards over going home with 0/5 moonmen. Yes, moonmen! “They have decided he is just too difficult to deal with,” the newspaper quotes a source as saying. Another source claims West’s rant also had to do with Justin Timberlake having a bigger suite than he did — one that had its own basketball court. In his latest drama with the music channel, West was reportedly booked to participate in an MTV-sponsored voter awareness event that also features Bill Clinton, but those plans have fallen through.

“Clinton sent him a letter asking him to participate, but he said he also wanted a personal phone call from the [former] President,” explains the source. Needless to say, MTV booked Alicia Keys in his place. A rep for MTV confirmed West is not participating in the event but added: “Saying MTV does not wish to work with him would be inaccurate. … He has been the one who has been vocal about saying he will never work with us again.” Special note to Kanye: LET IT GO HOMIE! LET .. IT .. GOOOOOOOOOOOO!

JAY-Z DOESN’T KNOW THE TRUE MEANING OF “RETIREMENT” » Ya’know? I could have sworn The Black Album was supposed to be Jay-Z’s final album. I guess he fooled our asses! But I’m not complaining. Kingdom Come was pretty fire, so hopefully he’ll deliver once again with his new LP “American Gangster,” which is slated to be released on November 6th via Def Jam! The album features all new original material inspired by the upcoming movie of the same name starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. The trailer for the film features Jay-Z’s “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love),” from his 2001 album “The Blueprint.” Additional details have yet to be announced, but tracks expected to appear include “No Hook” and the Pharrell-produced “Blue Magic.” The rapper-turned-executive told the New York Times he has completed nine songs, each inspired by a specific scene in the movie. “It was like I was watching the film, and putting it on pause, and giving a back story to the story,” he said.

I need to hit up Jigga so he can send me a copy of that American Gangster bootleg DVD before it hits the streets! The movie isn’t set to be released until November 2nd of this year. It features Denzel Washington, and rappers T.I., Common and RZA.
