LAILA ALI MARRIES FORMER NFL STAR » PEOPLE is reporting that female boxing champ Laila Ali and her fiancee, former NFL star Curtis Conway tied the knot in a private ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday. Among the 200 guests were Laila’s parents, Muhammad Ali and Veronica Porsche Anderson, along with her sister Hana Ali, who was a bridesmaid. Conway’s twin sons, Kelton and Cameron, 12, were the ringbearers while his daughter Leilani, 8, stepped in as the flowergirl. Congratulations Laila and Curtis! But uhm, as a sidenote … I’m not sure if I could wake up to someone who’s voice is deeper than mine. I’m just sayin…
LIL FLIP IS APPARENTLY HARD UP FOR SOME CASH! » Lil’ Flip can add “convicted felon” to his list since he’s trying to be so gangsta. After allegedly purchasing an airplane ticket with a stolen credit card, Houston rapper Lil Flip turned himself in. Authorities are saying on June 8, Lil Flip bought a $671 Southwest Airline ticket from Baltimore, MD to Houston, TX with a credit card owned by a man named Jordan Salinger. Flip claims that he is innocent and told authorities that a man named Kevin Frank bought the ticket with the stolen card. Frank denies making the purchase and claims to not know the rapper (how convenient, LOL). According to court documents, the man who bought the ticket only went by the name of “Wesley” (Flip’s government name is Wesley Eric Weston, Jr.) on the phone. After turning himself in, he was released on $2,000 bond. So he basically went to jail for a measly $671 and ended up having to pay $2,000 to get out of jail. Yeah, that makes perfect sense! =)
LIL WAYNE & JA RULE ARRESTED IN NYC » Looks like we won’t be interviewing Ja Rule anytime soon! I was set to interview Ja Rule this week, but uhm … that might not be happening. According to various news outlets, home boy was arrested on gun charges last night after a show in New York. According to reports, Ja Rule and two of his boys, were arrested last night on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, for speeding. A .40 caliber pistol was found inside the vehicle.
Lil’ Wayne was also arrested last night in New York shortly after his performance at the Beacon Theater. Police say they saw Weezy and an acquaintance smoking marijuana near 61st Street and Columbus Avenue late last night. Police discovered a .40 caliber pistol. Ironically enough, the two rappers are featured on a track together entitled “Uh Oh,” which will be on Ja’s latest album. My question is … why the hell would you violate traffic laws when you’re strapped?? And what the fawk was Lil Wayne doing smoking weed all willy-nilly on the side of the street. I swear, these damn rappers today…
