A former teacher and coach at Cretin-Derham Hall has received a stayed jail sentence of one year and a $300 fine for having sex with a former high school athlete.
Judge Richard Scherer sentenced 28-year-old Gail Gagne (GAHN’-yuh) on Monday. Gagne is the daughter of former professional wrestler Greg Gagne and the granddaughter of former wrestler Vern Gagne.
The Star Tribune reports Gail Gagne will be on probation for two years and may have no contact with the student or his family. The student is now in college.
Prosecutors say Gagne had a sexual relationship with the boy from July 2008 to September 2008, when she was a 25-year-old teacher and he was a 16-year-old student at the St. Paul Catholic high school.
