What are the Qualifications for a Grammy again??

It’s that time of year when the nominees for the upcoming Grammy awards are announced, and I hate to be critical, but really … can someone please enlighten me on the CURRENT qualifications for getting nominated?! Having a “hit” or two on the radio? I mean really, T-Pain? Soulja Boy? Akon? I guess when you’re given lemons, you make lemonade. The state of music is really in a pitfall if the people I mentioned above qualify for a Grammy. To me, it just makes being nominated not feel so “special” anymore. But I’m glad my boy Kanye got his 8 nods though! Check out who else has the opportunity to take one home after the cut.

that is exactly what i was thinking. my little sister was watching 106&Fart & told me that Rihanna has 5 nominations. i thought that the end was near. Rihanna has some hits under her belt but Grammy-worthy music is not her forte.
& about the T-Pain & Soulja-Boy, i was definitely feeling like finding the people nominated those 2 & shooting them.
The Grammys have now demoted themselves and they are very much disgraceful. NO ONE should ever even think about mentioning names like 50 Cent & Soulja Boy in the same SENTENCE as the term “The Grammys”. Getting a Grammy nomination is now as simple as winning a VMA, or (God forbid) a White People’s Choice, i mean “Teen’s Choice” Award.

Whew I thought I was the only one who was disappointed at some of this years nominees. T-Pain, and Akon I can some what understand even though I don’t like either one of the. But when I saw Soulja Boy’s name I was really disappointed not just cause of the fact that he was nominated but that he was nominated for BEST RAP SONG. Thats like a disgrace to everyone else who was nominated in that category. Seems like now a days they’ll play anyone’s music on the radio, and give any one an award. I’m happy that Yeezy got 8 nods though, he deseves it.
