THE WHOLE TEAM NEEDS TO SUE HIS ASS… Â» Radio personality and “old fart” Don Imus has reached a settlement with CBS over his multi-million dollar contract and is negotiating with WABC radio to continue his broadcasting career there, according to CBS. ABC News has learned that Kia Vaughn, star center for the Rutgers Women’s Basketball team, has filed a lawsuit against Imus for libel, slander and defamation. This is apparentlythe first civil suit to be filed against the former radio host. Vaughn is asking for monetary damages of an unspecified amount. “This is a lawsuit in order to restore the good name and reputation of my client, Kia Vaughn,” said her attorney, Richard Ancowitz, in an exclusive interview with the ABC News Law & Justice Unit. “THE PEN” GETS A DEAL Â» Atlanta bred producer/songwriter Sean ‘The Pen’ Garrett, well known for crafting hits for Usher, Beyonce and Nelly, recently announced that he has scored a label deal with Interscope Records. Garret will launch his Bet I Penned It Music imprint with his currently untitled debut album, which is expected to be released later this year. It seems like every songwriter who has a voice is trying to score a deal! I think it’s a good look though, we need more songwriters up front in the game. TOLD Y’ALL SHE WAS A “HEAD!” Â» I’m sure y’all remember me posting about Amy Crackhouse collapsing this time last week due to a drug overdose, and had to be given an adrenaline injection and have her stomach pumped, blah blah blah. “It was just crazy — one of the most terrifying moments of my life,” Winehouse told Britain’s News of the World. Come to find out, that song she has called “Rehab” is true! She sees rehab as a “cop out” and has instead chosen to recuperate by surrounding herself with friends and family. “When I get self-destructive, I just need to spend time with my dad,” Amy has reportedly said. Yaaay Sean Garrett!! I love his music, and I hope he can sing!!!

Poor Winehouse. I love her music, and I hope she gets her life together.

I don’t know how much the young lady who’s suing Imus is going to get, or how far this could go, especially with the charges. Because he didn’t address them specifically, the libel/slander charge might get struck down. IDK, we’ll see how it goes.
