Chris Brown Suffering from Sophomore Slump?

R&B newcomer Chris Brown just might be headed into a sophomore slump before his 2nd album, entited “Exclusive,” is even released! The album is due for an August 28 release, but his label might be pondering on ideas to push the album back a couple of weeks since “Wall to Wall,” the first single, hasn’t been doing so well on the charts. The single hasn’t reached the top 10, 20, or even 50 on the Billboard Hot 100! As a matter of fact, as of the current issue of Billboard, Wall to Wall is sitting at #88 with a peak at #79 after 5 weeks. I hope they can recover by pushing out a second single. I’d hate to see Chris Brown go down like this…

J, Run It debuted at 92 in August 2006, and moved up several spots (I’m talkin 5 – 20 spots at a time) every week until hit hit number 1 in December 2006. Wall to Wall is slowly declining, instead of what it should be doing, which is rising.

Last week it was number 18, so it’s slowing climbing up there.

chris brown’s 1st album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 the 1st week it came out (one of the NOW volumes was #1)
i don’t know. i hope he doesn’t flop. but i disapprove of that nonsensical buffoonery he called a music video for Wall to Wall. step it up, brownie boo. that’s all you have to do, sweetie.

WE ALLL DAMN WELL KNOW WALL TO WALL AINT SURVIVING.. YESS RELEASING IT TO iTunes will make it jump about 20 spots.. but then fall down the next week 20×3 spots… I PERSONALLY LOVE THE SONG. i just dont get why it aint doin well at radio..

yooo mike dustin you think he would of did better if he did something different because this song is pretty much like gimmie that when i saw the video was exactly like gimmie that but wall to wall had better foot work. i personally think if he got a nice slow jam song i think he would did better if he did it show that he change and step in to new terrtory most of artist out like ciara and neyo album did pretty good

the sopohmore album to me i think that was really major say if u did really well on ur debut album and everybody lvoes you but then the next album they expect u 2 change ur flavor and a hot album chris brown needs the full package he needs the appealing looks the hot footwork and the voice he cant just have 2 singing is the major thing the business

i love chris amd I like wall to wall.chris is new to the business and he made a bad business decision.of course his company didn’t like that HE leaked the song, but what can you do about it . chris will learn from his mistakes.

personally i was disappointed with his new single “wall to wall”. it sounds just like run it except cockier. but the video was hot so hopefully the video will help the song out.

i hope everything goes well for him. i think if he were to go under the industry would miss him alot. even though he’s only one album in. i don’t say this because i think he’s attractive, i say this because i LOVE his music. but the whole attractive thing doesn’t hurt either. aparrently my fellow fans have been laggin’ on requesting the song..thats an issue, cuz it is a hot song and the video’s even hotter haha,made me wanna be a vampire.
