Gilbert Arenas Says Lupita Nyong’o Is Only “Cute” With the Lights Off in Instagram Rant About Dark-Skinned Women

When are black men gonna learn not to come for black women?! The week began with Tyrese getting dragged on Twitter for misogynistic comments and it ends with “no chill Gil” Gilbert Arenas hopping on Instagram and declaring dark skin women are not beautiful.

The NBA player came across a meme in the ProBlkThought Instagram meme, which read “Dear Black Girl: You don’t have to be mixed to be beautiful.”

Arenas was compelled to comment and wrote, “How black we talking?? Not to be funny can you name a beautiful black woman on the outside … not brown skin … like Tyrese black.”

He went on say that only a few dark-skinned women rank in the top 50 most beautiful, name-dropping Serena Williams and Gabrielle Union. However, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o — who was named People magazine’s most beautiful person of 2014 — is only “cute when the lights are off.”

Social media gathered Arenas real quick and also offered receipts of beautiful dark-skinned women.

After the much-deserved Twitter dragging, Arenas posted what he called an apology. He said he misinterpreted the meme and thought it somehow criticized mixed women. He took this personally because he has mixed children.

He wrote in part:

“I never say sorry for the shit I say but it’s my fault I read this wrong and got into my feelings… I f*cked this up so I deserved the hatred that comes….I was trying to defend all shades of black but that’s what the post was also doing…I ended up pulling a COON moment…sorry all shades of black women no need to forgive me Im pretty sure I’ll say some fucked up shit probably in two weeks (I know p*ssy prices about to double up on my ass from black women)

However, his weak apology got even worse as he made a second slick comment about Nyong’o. “And as for lupita she ain’t cute to me sorry…just like I’m not cute to 95% of u…”

To be frank, it’s very hard for me to think this “apology” is genuine. It’s also hard for me to believe Arenas actually misinterpreted the meme. The intent of the message was clearly stated and was posted on a page named “Pro Black Thought.”

Furthermore, his explanation doesn’t even make sense. Not once in his original comments did he defend dark-skinned or mixed women. In fact, he said it was a struggle to find beautiful dark-skinned women.

Arenas has made sexist comment in the past and he will probably continue to do so. At least we know social media will always be quick to get him together.

Janet Jackson Shares First Photo of 3-Month-Old Son One Week After Announcing Split from Husband

Janet Jackson is currently in the thick of two life-changing events. She recently split from her husband of five years and she’s settling into motherhood. However, the singer seemed very content as she shared the first photo of her 3-month-old son, Eissa.

The 50-year-old gave birth to her first son in January, but has kept fans on their toes waiting for the first glimpse of the newborn baby. Janet surprised everyone on Friday (Apr. 14) by posting a photo of baby Eissa on her website and social media.

Snuggling the yawning baby close to her face, Janet writes “My baby and me after nap time.”

The pic is too adorable and well-worth the wait.

Baby Eissa is Janet and estranged husband Wissam Al Mana’s only child. The two secretly wed in 2012, however, unfortunately announced their split just last week.

Though the split is reportedly amicable, the cause is still unknown. It has been speculated the couple may have experienced cultural differences or Janet felt marriage was interfering with her career.

Al Mana broke his silence on the split shortly before Janet released the first public image of Eissa by penning a passage from the Quran on his website. The billionaire also expressed his love for the mother of his child.

“To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend. I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever.”

The estranged couple reportedly plans to co-parent Eissa with Janet continuing to live in London.

“I’m Not a Yes N**ga”: Jay Pharoah Blasts SNL for Placing Him in a Box & Undervaluing His Talent

With much material thanks to 45 and the 2016 election, SNL has been on fire. However, any regular viewer of recent years probably still feels the absence of fan-favorite Jay Pharoah. The SNL alum is opening up about being underutilized and ultimately fired from the variety sketch show.

Pharoah paid a visit to Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning and revealed he believes the show underutilized his overall talent and only used him for his ability to impersonate other black celebrities.

“They put people into boxes. Whatever they want you to do, they expect you to do. I’m a little fiery too … I’m not a yes n***a.”

The comedian, best known for his spot-on impressions of people like Barack Obama, Kanye West, Jay Z, and Will Smith, says he was put in an “impression box.” But despite his popularity, Pharoah says he began feeling unappreciated.

“You go where you’re appreciated. And if you have multiple people on the cast saying things like, ‘You’re so talented and you’re so able. They don’t use you and it’s unfair and it’s making us feel bad…'”

Even his most popular character was basically taken away from him. “If you really noticed, for the last year and a half, they didn’t do any Obama sketches at all,” Pharoah said.

“I was like, ‘Just let me do my character, and we’ll be fine.’ They didn’t want to do that… I kind of feel like they gave up on the Obama thing … I think it was just a whatever attitude.”

To the shock of many, Pharoah’s contract was not renewed last year after starring on the show for six seasons. However, he revealed to the radio hosts that his job was on the line back in 2013 after he spoke out about SNL’s lack of diversity, even calling the show’s cast “Wonder Bread.”

“I was at the audition and me speaking up, they were ready to get rid of me in 2013 when I spoke up [about needing black female cast members]. When I said what I said and it went viral … I almost freakin’ lost my job.”

In response to Pharoah and the public outcry, SNL hired black female comedians Leslie Jones and Sasheer Zamata in 2014.

Though Pharoah says his relationship with SNL creator Lorne Michaels has seen “some shaky time,” he affirms that there’s no ill-will between the two. “I like Lorne. Ain’t no problem with Lorne Michaels,” he said. “There ain’t no beef with Lorne. We’re on good graces.”

Pharoah is currently promoting his upcoming Showtime comedy series, White Famous, based on Jamie Foxx’s early career.

“The Marriage is Over”: Source Says Rasheeda is Ready to File for Divorce After Kirk Frost’s Baby Mama Drama

Has Rasheeda finally seen the light and ready to divorce Kirk Frost? Reports suggest the reality show couple may be officially headed towards splitsville.

Take this with a grain of salt, but MediaTakeOut is reporting that Rasheeda is ready to file for divorce. According to the site, a Love & Hip Hop Atlanta insider revealed that the couple had a “heart to heart” conversation while recently filming in Jamaica. Apparently, Kirk’s infidelity, which may have resulted in a child, is too much for Rasheda to handle. “The marriage is over,” said the source.

Kirk’s alleged cheating ways has been rumored throughout the couple’s 18-year marriage. However, the LHHATL insider tells MediaTakeOut that Rasheeda and Kirk manufactured the cheating storyline a few years ago, and unfortunately, life eventually imitated art.

“The saddest part is that I think Rasheeda and Kirk created the ‘Kirk is cheating’ storyline. They needed the money and went down that road. At first, I don’t think Kirk was cheating – it was just for the cameras. But you don’t PLAY WITH A MARRIAGE. Now look where they are.”

Hollywood Life is also reporting the couple’s strained relationship may have finally broke during the Jamaica trip. A source tells the site everything was OK while they were in Jamaica. The two were seen drinking, partying, and Kirk even “worked his way back into Rasheeda’s bed.” However, the gravity of the situation started to hit Rasheeda on the way back to the States.

“Rasheeda and Kirk got into another fight on their way home from Jamaica. She’s mad as hell at him all over again. When they were partying and having fun in Jamaica, things were good and all their problems were out of sight. But coming home to Atlanta brought it all back to the surface.”

Kirk and Rasheeda’s marriage has been put to the ultimate test during season 6 of the hit reality show. In recent episodes, the two needed space apart after Kirk admitted to cheating on his wife with 27-year-old Jasmine Washington, who claims he is the father of her infant son. Kirk still has yet to take a paternity test.

Regardless of whether he’s the father of Jasmine’s baby or not, I knew Kirk was a dog when he swabbed his own son’s cheek because he thought his wife was cheating on him because he was cheating on her. Rasheeda most certainly deserves better and a divorce is probably needed even without any baby mama drama.

Wendy Williams Slams Tyrese’s Misogynistic Statements by Making Homophobic Joke

Wendy Williams is back from her 2-week vacation and she wasted no time getting back to her old tricks. The talk show host expressed faux-feminism views while discussing Tyrese Gibson’s recent misogynistic comments, but at the expense of the LGBT community.

During Thursday’s live show (Apr. 13), Tyrese’s recent opinions about women’s sexual behavior was a hot topic. In a BET interview earlier this week, The Fate of the Furious actor criticized “sluts, skeezers, hos and tramps” and advised single women to wait until God sends them the right man. Otherwise, they will have a “lot of miles down there.”

The actor was, of course, dragged on social media for the misogynistic comments and for disregarding men who are also sexually “active in these streets” like he described “promiscuous” women.

With her faux-feminism ways, Williams added her two cents. She slammed Tyrese for his comments and defended women who like to have fun. (Although, she also advised them to do it in secret). She also took a jab at Tyrese by insinuating he does not criticize men because he is secretly gay.

“And, Tyrese, you never say anything bad about men. You’re always talking bad about women. Never anything bad about men. Well, he likes men.”

*She then proceeds to literally sip her tea*

The clear and obvious insinuation is that Tyrese is gay and she uses it as an insult. The statement comment is incredibly homophobic and, in my opinion, negates her overall argument. You can’t criticize someone else’s degrading comments in one breath, only to make one yourself in the next. And even if Tyrese was secretly gay, it’s also not OK to out someone on national TV.

Once her audience caught the shade, Williams tried to play it off by adding “I like women!” and sarcastically asking her audience, “What are you saying?”

The talk show host’s comments come just a few weeks after the drag community expressed outrage after she was named the host of the weekly RuPaul’s Drag Race viewing party on VH1. Though she claims to be an LGBT ally, many drag performers noted that Williams has made several problematic statements against the LGBT community throughout her broadcast career.

I’m sure the LGBT community will not care for her latest quip either.

Tyrese and Williams were both out-of-line for their respective statements. And for what it’s worth, Tyrese married a woman earlier this year in a secret Valentine’s Day ceremony.

Kendall Jenner Remains Silent on Pepsi Commercial While Survey Shows Ad Received Positive Reactions From Minorities

Kendall Jenner has no clue why all of you are so upset over a commercial. That’s because, apparently, in Kendall’s world, no such ad ever happened. The model has returned to social media for the first time in more than a week and there was no mention, whatsoever, of her incredibly tone-deaf Pepsi commercial.

It’s been nine days since Kendall Jenner ended police brutality by handing a police officer a can of Pepsi in a commercial that has since been pulled. Though Pepsi apologized and admitted they “missed the mark” with the ad, the reality star/model collected her check and has kept quiet on the controversy.

The popular celebrity finally returned to social media on Thursday (Apr. 13). However, she did not offer an apology, explanation, or sympathy to those who found the commercial insensitive and tone-deaf. In fact, she didn’t address the Pepsi ad at all. She simply used her Twitter as a self-promotional tool for her latest magazine cover.

It’s wonderful news that the model landed the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s 150th anniversary issue, but many couldn’t care less. The reaction to the post went exactly how you would expect.

Despite the heavy criticism of the Pepsi ad, which was pulled a day after its release, a recent Morning Consult survey found the ad was actually well-liked. A survey of 2,202 people conducted April 6-9 found that 44% had a more favorable view of Pepsi, while only 25% had a less favorable view of the brand. 28% reported no impact from the commercial.

What’s even more shocking is that minorities overwhelmingly approved of the ad. 75% of Latinos and 51% of black people found the ad favorable. Only 41% of white people said the same. 264 Latinos and 246 black people were interviewed for the survey.

Real-time reactions to the ad along party lines were also monitored by Morning Consult. Democrats had a negative reaction whenever Kendall or police officers appeared onscreen. Meanwhile, Republicans, unsurprisingly, got scared when a woman wearing a hijab was shown and approved of the line of police officers.

The disparity between the social media outrage and survey results may reveal just how powerful and influential social media really is. However, regardless of the true response to the Kendall Jenner/Pepsi commercial, the fact that police brutality and tensions between protesters and police officers cannot be fixed by a can of Pepsi still remains.

Charlie Murphy’s Last Tweet Will Hit You Right in the Feels

As news of Charlie Murphy’s unfortunate passing spread, many people have taken notice of the final Tweet he sent out.

When a star of his caliber passes away, it’s not uncommon to check on his/her social media, but Charlie’s last tweet, shared late Tuesday night (Apr. 11), stands out for being eerily foretelling.

Early reports indicate that the news of his death came as a surprise to those closest to him, as they believed the chemotherapy he was undergoing to treat his leukemia was working. And with other recent news, it appeared there was nothing immediately forthcoming that would indicate his untimely passing.

For one, he was currently on tour performing stand-up along with Cedric The Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and George Lopez as part of the Comedy Get Down Tour. It was also announced back in January that he had been cast as a prison guard in the popular Starz show Power.

It’s clear that even during his battle with leukemia, Murphy was not content to let the disease control his life. His previous two Tweets, just two and three days before his death, show someone who was still fighting and still working.

But his message on April 4th is especially poignant, as one can only hope the two are eating pancakes in heaven together now.

Charlie Murphy Dead: How Did Eddie’s Older Brother Die?

Charlie Murphy, older brother of Eddie Murphy, passed away Wednesday (Apr. 12) after a battle with leukemia. According to his manager, he had been undergoing chemotherapy to treat the disease, but succumbed early Wednesday morning. He was 57 years old.

Charlie was a successful stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He is perhaps most well known for his contributions to the very popular Chappelle’s Show in which he recounted some of the crazy stories of his life.

He also did voiceover work for Budweiser, the popular Adult Swim cartoon series The Boondocks and the “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” video game. He co-starred in another Adult Swim series called Black Jesus.

But he also performed his own stand-up routines and co-wrote some of his younger brother’s movies like Norbit and Vampire in Brooklyn. His latest work was touring with Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, George Lopez, and D.L. Hughley on The Comedy Get Down.

Family members, after learning of his death, were reportedly shocked because they thought he was getting better.

Charlie’s wife, Tisha Taylor Murphy, died in 2009 from cervical cancer, and the two are survived by their two children. Charlie also had another child from a previous relationship.

He was only 57-years-old.

Bill Cosby Sex Scandal Causes “Little Bill” Children’s Book Series to be One of the Most Challenged Books in America

Even five-year-old Little Bill is not immune from reaping the repercussions of Bill Cosby’s scandals. The children’s book series found itself as one of the top 10 most challenged books of 2016 in efforts to get it yanked from school library shelves.

Cosby’s Little Bill series landed at No. 9 on the American Library Association’s annual top 10 list of most challenged books. This is also the first time in the list’s history that a book has been challenged for the actions of the author and not the content of the book itself.

The series, which follows a 5-year-old black boy living in Philadelphia as he learns valuable life lessons, was highly challenged in 2016 due to Cosby’s sexual assault scandal.

Books are usually challenged and/or pulled off school shelves because of content such as LGBTQ themes, drugs, profanity, and sexually explicit/mature themes. In fact, five of the top 10 books included LGBT characters, two of which were transgendered.

According to the ALA, 323 books were challenged in 2016, including two books written for adult readers that cracked the top 10.

Cosby is scheduled to stand trial in Philadelphia in June for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in his home in 2004.

Tyrese Gets Called Out by Tank & Ginuwine, Dragged on Social Media for Making Misogynistic Comments All in One Day

Nobody is feeling Tyrese right now! The singer/actor is currently being dragged on social media for misogynistic comments he made that have gone viral and now his former TGT bandmates are calling him out after he made some shady statements about the R&B trio.

Tyrese appeared on The Breakfast Club Monday (Apr. 10) with Ludacris to promote their upcoming movie, Fate of the Furious. The hosts then asked if Tyrese’s short-lived trio with Tank and Ginuwine (TGT) was working on a second album, after Tank suggested such on April’s Fool’s Day.

Tyrese shot down the rumor and shaded Ginuwine because the “Pony” singer wants to split profits despite, apparently, not being offered as much as Tyrese and Tank. He used Ludacris to make his point.

“Ginuwine still wants an equal split… If Chris is getting $200,000 a show and I’m getting $30,000 a show, I think my motivation to split equal with Chris would be pretty obvious. Because if I’m able to split with Chris, then I’m getting way more per show.… Its business.”

Ginuwine and Tank both responded on Instagram and they slammed Tyrese hard, even blaming him as the reason TGT is no longer a group.

Ginuwine wrote in part:

Right now I’m mad at my brotha I hate when sh*t goes viral when we grown men hit me but don’t make me look minuscule… wow cant believe king but I’m bit a pawn F*CK DAD let’s keep it 100!!!!!!

Tank wrote in part:

What’s crazy to me is that @ginuwine is the most accomplished artist in TGT but being talked bad about in this interview as if he hasn’t earned his keep! Sad what your brother will do to ensure he has more than you… TGT is no more because @tyrese feels he’s a better than me and G! Doesn’t have more his, hasn’t sold more records, but somehow he’s better..smh

Also on Monday (Apr. 10), Tyrese was dragged on social media after offering “advice” and shaming women he described as being too promiscuous during a BET interview, while disregarding men who may exhibit the same behavior he so detests.

“Sluts, skeezers, hos and tramps are never without a man because they don’t have any standards… You got women who are out here active in these streets going to lunch and dinners every night… They are never without. However, it comes with a cost: You’re going to put a lot of miles down there.”

Chris Brown & Lil Wayne Under Federal Investigation Over Ties to Alleged Drug Dealer

Chris Brown and Lil Wayne’s alleged drug dealer has just been convicted of five drug trafficking felonies that could keep him locked behind bars for life.

A Miami federal jury took less than four hours to find Harrison Garcia guilty of five felonies on Monday (Apr. 10). He is accused of illegally selling marijuana, lean, and Xanax.

The 27-year-old is the self-professed “CEO of Purple Drank” or Sizzurp and goes by the name “Muhammad-a-Lean” and “Cuban Harry” on social media.

Garcia’s supposed street-cred has earned him some clout within the hip-hop community and he has gained an elite clientele, allegedly including Chris and Wayne. His associations with the two artists came to light during the week-long testimony. Garcia even admitted to selling Wayne “a lot of narcotics.”

According to the Miami Herald, text messages were provided to the jury showing Garcia sold drugs to Chris and Wayne, including an alleged $15,000 by Chris to Garcia.

The messages appeared to show Garcia directing his “do-boy” to deliver drugs to Lil Wayne and his crew. “I’ll shoot u some trees,” one message read, a reference to marijuana. “It’s for Wayne,” Garcia allegedly responded via text.

The text message about Brown was more explicit. Garcia sent a bragging text message to a woman of a screen shot of the $15,000 bank deposit from “Christopher Brown” into his account.

“Look who put money my account,” Garcia wrote.

The woman responded: “What that for LOL”

Garcia replied with several smiley face emojis: “Drugs … lean and shit.”

With an Instagram following of 30,000, Garcia often flaunted his luxurious lifestyle by posing with celebrities, guns, gold chains and jewelry, exotic cars, and stacks of cash.

However, his lawyer, Gustavo Lage, argued this was all fake and Garcia only created this social media persona to build his street cred, even suggesting the case was an “Instagram persecution” used to get bigger fish like Chris and Wayne.

In fact, a U.S. Homeland Security agent testified in court that federal officials are investigating Chris and Wayne’s association with Garcia. “It’s still an open investigation; I can’t talk about it,” he stated.

The jury did not buy Lage’s defense and found Garcia guilty. They were shown video footage of Garcia selling to two confidential informants. He will be sentenced June 3, facing life in prison.

In a separate case, he is also facing state racketeering charges after he allegedly paid men to steal bottles of promethazine with codeine syrup from several Walgreens and CVS stores.

Caitlyn Jenner Reportedly Undergoes Gender Confirmation Surgery As Kris Jenner Continues to Struggle With Transition

According to reports, Caitlyn Jenner has taken another major step in her male-to-female transition journey. The Olympian and reality star has reportedly undergone sex reassignment surgery, also known as gender confirmation surgery.

Though unconfirmed, Jenner apparently makes the revelation in her upcoming memoir, The Secrets of My Life. Radar Online has “exclusively” obtained excerpts from the memoir, where she claims “the surgery was a success, and I feel not only wonderful but liberated.” The surgery reportedly took place in January.

Jenner continues to explain the “complex decision” to have the surgery, despite potential health risks. She writes:

So why even consider it? Because it’s just a penis. It has no special gifts or use for me other than what I have said before, the ability to take a whiz in the woods, I just want to have all the right parts. I am also tired of tucking the damn thing in all the time.

Though it may be TMI for some, the transgender activist knows that it’s the unspoken elephant in the room and wants to address it on her own terms and move past it.

I am telling you because I believe in candor. So all of you can stop staring. You want to know, so now you know. Which is why this is the first time, and the last time, I will ever speak of it.

I am going to live authentically for the first time in my life. I am going to have an enthusiasm for life that I have not had in 39 years since the Olympics, almost two thirds of my life.

Reps for Jenner have not commented on the leaked/released excerpts.

Speaking of coping and handling Caitlyn’s transition, ex-wife Kris Jenner seems to be struggling. On a recent episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, very observant viewers noticed Caitlyn is identified as “CaitlynBruce Jenner” on Kris’ phone.

If it were anybody else, I would definitely find this problematic. However, Kris gets a pass (right now) since she’s probably been most affected by Caitlyn’s transition more than anyone else other than Caitlyn herself. I also feel Caitlyn could have been more sympathetic to Kris as she transitioned.

Again, Caitlyn’s gender confirmation surgery has yet to be confirmed. However, The Secrets of My Life will be released April 25, which will also coincide with another Diane Sawyer interview on April 21. The interview comes two years after she first came out as transgender in an interview with Sawyer.

San Bernardino North Park Elementary School Shooting: Things You Need to Know

Multiple people were shot Monday morning (Apr. 10) at an elementary school in San Bernardino, California, according to confirmed reports.

San Bernardino Police chief Jarrod Burguan said in a tweet that there were at least four victims in the shooting at North Park Elementary School and the suspected shooter was “possibly down” as well.

“We believe this to be a murder suicide,” Chief Burguan said.

Here are some things you need to know:

The shooting happened inside a classroom, where two adults were found dead. A teacher and two students were shot and the shooter was “down.”

According to preliminary reports, the shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. inside a classroom. Officials said one teacher and two students were shot. The teacher was reportedly found dead in the classroom and the students were reportedly “tragically injured” and their conditions were said to be critical.

The gunman was described as “down,” which likely means he either killed himself or was killed by police since they are describing the situation as a murder-suicide.

North Park students were taken to nearby Cajon High School for safety and students at Hillside Elementary School and Cal State University San Bernardino, both also nearby, were asked to shelter in place.

Immediately after the shooting, students from North Park Elementary were transported to Cajon High School “for safety” as police investigated the scene.

Additionally, students at nearby Cal State-San Bernardino, which is about a mile away from North Park, were asked to “shelter in place” until further notice while the situation was investigated.

Hillside Elementary School, also nearby, was also placed on a precautionary lockdown.

North Park has students ranging from Kindergarten to 6th grade.

Located at 5378 N H Street in San Bernardino, California, North Park Elementary School has students from Kindergarten through sixth grade.

Enrollment in the 2011-12 school year was around 718, with more than half of the students being Hispanic, around 22 percent African American, 16 percent white and 3 percent Asian.

The school won a “Schools of Achievement Award” in the 2005-06 and 2006-07 school years.

“Empire” Star Morocco Omari Arrested for Domestic Violence After Physical Altercation With Girlfriend

Empire’s Tariq found himself on the other side of the law. Morocco Omari was arrested for domestic violence after an altercation with his girlfriend in Chicago.

A 24-year-old woman called police Wednesday (Apr. 5) after an argument with Omari turned physical. She identified herself as Omari’s girlfriend. She says the two were arguing and he retaliated by pushing her to the ground several times.

Police arrived in the Hyde Park neighborhood around 2:30 p.m. to investigate the call. The woman had apparently sustained scratches on her neck and chest from the altercation. Based on her injuries, police arrested Omari and he was booked for misdemeanor domestic battery.

Omari, who portrays an FBI agent and Lucious Lyon’s half-brother on the hit Fox series, appeared in court on Thursday (Apr. 6).

He released a statement to TMZ:

“I am deeply saddened by the recent reports and want to say I do not condone nor participate in any forms of violence. While this is an ongoing legal matter, I am unable to further comment. Thank you to my friends, family and fans for your continued support.”

The 46-year-old actor’s publicist also released a lengthy statement stating the battery allegations are “blatantly false” and declaring Omari is a longtime “advocate of anti-violence against women.”

The statement reads in part:

“In the past two decades Morocco has had but two long term relationships. He has never displayed any hint of violence toward women and never will. Violence against women simply isn’t in Omari’s DNA. We would like to thank the Chicago Police Department and are extremely confident that Morocco will be completely vindicated in this matter.”

The actor’s next court date is scheduled for April 20.

I Did NOT Murder Tupac: Suge Knight’s Ex-Wife Denies Rumors She Orchestrated Rap Legend’s Shooting

Keep playing with Sharitha Golden and you might find yourself sued. Suge Knight’s ex-wife is setting the record straight and says she did not mastermind Tupac’s murder in an attempt to assassinate Suge.

Sharitha has made headlines this week after Suge allegedly revealed that she and former Death Row security chief, Reggie White Jr., killed Tupac. The theory is the two were orchestrating a Death Row coup and needed to take out Suge. Unfortunately, Tupac got caught in the crossfire.

This longstanding conspiracy theory is referenced in an upcoming documentary, Tupac Assassination: Battle for Compton. Suge reportedly substantiated the story in a written affidavit for the film.

Sharitha addressed the rumors to TMZ and not only says she had no involvement in Tupac’s death, but she also never tried to killed Suge.

“You know I’m so damn sick of getting 100,000 calls about this. No way in hell I would’ve murdered Tupac. For what reason? This ridiculous theory that I needed to get half of Death Row—I already had half of Death Row, America. You know, when Tupac died, what did Death Row become after that? Zero. Nothing. A downfall.”

Theories surrounding Sharitha and/or Suge’s involvement in Tupac’s death have been around for quite some time. Sharitha says, unfortunately, her children have had to suffer throughout the years, mainly her daughter with Suge.

“I’ve been going through this for about 20 years with my oldest daughter that me and Suge have together,” Golden says in the video. “About all her high school years, she got, ‘Oh, your dad killed Tupac, your dad killed Tupac.’ It’s sad when a person can’t even put a picture of their dad on their social media because they get so many negative responses—and now, here it goes, the media put out bull crap rumors that I killed Tupac now.”

And thanks to the reignited Sharitha/Reggie theory, she says her younger children will now face accusations that their mother killed the rap legend.

Sharitha’s denial of killing Tupac comes just days after Suge’s son, Suge Knight Jr., wrote on Instagram that his father would never put Tupac’s life in danger because he felt like the rapper’s “big protective brother.”

Suge’s lawyer also says he never wrote any affidavit regarding Tupac’s murder on behalf of his client. Sharitha is also contemplating legal action if her name continues to be attached to ‘Pac’s death.

Suge Knight Jr. Shoots Down Reports that His Father Revealed Who Killed Tupac

Suge Knight Jr. is speaking out and says his father had nothing to do with Tupac’s murder. He says his father would never put his “brother” in danger and reports that suggest otherwise are “fake news.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that Suge Knight revealed in an affidavit that his ex-wife, Sharitha, and former Death Row security chief, Reggie White Jr., were behind Tupac’s 1996 shooting and murder. He believes he was the intended target, but Tupac was the one caught in the crossfire.

Suge’s son wrote on Instagram Tuesday (Apr. 4) that Suge is innocent in the matter and this false theory is being pushed for publicity and monetary gain.

“My father was the Big protective brother of Pac. If he knew anybody was after him he wouldnt have pac with him in the first place. These rumors are selfish and its unecessary.

When you look who is trying to profit off of causing chaos in my family its somebody who doesnt know nor care about my family. Fake news will never get attention but people will stop trying to make a quick dollar off my family, especially off lies.”

The alleged affidavit was reportedly written by Suge’s lawyer, Thaddeus Culpepper, for an upcoming documentary on Tupac’s unsolved murder. The filmmakers believe the Reggie/Sharitha theory is the real story and Suge corroborates the theory, something he has kept secret for over 20 years.

However, Culpepper says in a statement that he never wrote the affidavit in question:

“[I have] never made any statements regarding Tupac Shakur, nor have I made any statements on my client’s behalf regarding Mr. Shakur, written or otherwise.”

So, what is the truth? Again, unfortunately, we may never really know who killed Tupac.

Woman Claims Kodak Black Punched & Kicked Her in Strip Club, Allegation Added to Rapper’s Probation Violations

Even while sitting in jail, Kodak Black’s run-ins with the law continue. A woman has just come forward and claimed the rapper assaulted her earlier this year. The battery allegation has been added to a list of ways Kodak has allegedly violated his probation.

The 34-year-old woman accusing Kodak works at Club Climaxx, a strip club in Miami. According to the police report, she claims the rapper “approached her and started acting belligerent.” She first reacted by telling him to back away, however, this is when she says he “hit her in the forehead with his arm.”

The situation quickly escalated after she pushed the 19-year-old away. The woman claims “he began to punch her numerous times all over her body and then kicked her, stopping shortly after.”

The incident occurred around 3 a.m., the woman finished her shift that night and contacted the police at the start of her next shift at 8 p.m.

Though no charges have been filed yet, the case is listed as “open/pending” and has been assigned to a detective. If charged, the offense would be misdemeanor battery.

Kodak also had to appear in court on Tuesday (Apr. 4) regarding the matter as the Florida Department of Corrections has added the incident to a list of ways the rapper violated the terms of his house arrest.

He was arrested on Feb. 28 after his probation officer accused him of four violations of his house arrest. This also included an unauthorized visit to Club Climaxx, though the battery allegation was not yet a factor. He has been in the Broward Main Jail since his arrest. Two additional probation violations were also added in March.

Kodak’s violation hearing is scheduled for April 19.

“All Lives Matter” Sage Steele Replaced With White Woman on Popular ESPN Show, Black Twitter Celebrates

They say you should never revel in someone else’s misfortune. But sometimes the universe works in hilarious ways. Black Twitter practically threw an impromptu party after learning Sage Steele was fired from ESPN.

Though Black Twitter celebrated like she was, Steele was not technically fired. ESPN announced Tuesday (Apr. 4) that Michelle Beadle will replace Steele as the host of NBA Countdown, effectively immediately.

Many believed the controversial sportscaster was exiting the network as ESPN is expected to make layoffs soon. However, Steele’s role is merely changing.

She will continue to appear on SportsCenter on the Road and will have an “expanded on-site presence at events such as the Masters, World Series, Super Bowl, the College Football Playoff, and College Football National Championship.”

Though, avid ESPN viewers say this is clearly a demotion.

Steele has faced heavy social media criticism recently due to some of her viewpoints. She opposed athletes kneeling or not standing during the National Anthem and adheres to the dreaded/ignorant “All Lives Matter” phrase in opposition to the Black Lives Matter movement.

She recently became a social media topic because she was upset that protesters against 45’s Muslim travel ban caused her to miss her flight.

So, all of this problematic behavior aided in Black Twitter’s delight that she had been removed from the popular ESPN show.

Mel B Granted Restraining Order After Claiming Estranged Husband Stephen Belafonte Physically Abused Her for a Decade

Wow! This is such a sad and heartbreaking story. Mel B has obtained a restraining order against her estranged husband, claiming he has physically and emotionally abused her throughout their 10-year marriage.

According to TMZ, Stephen Belafonte has been ordered to stay away from Mel, their daughter, and Mel’s other two children from previous relationships. The restraining order was granted Monday (Apr. 3). The couple separated in December 2016 with Mel filing for divorce in March.

The alleged abuse began at the beginning of their relationship in 2007. Despite seeing signs throughout the years, Mel’s close friends and co-workers failed to alert authorities and, instead, went along with her questionable cover-up stories.

The documents state Belafonte would beat, choke, and throw Mel to the ground on multiple occasions.

While preparing for the Dancing with the Stars finale in November 2007, Mel says Belafonte began choking her and slammed her to the ground. This was the beginning. She says every time she gained success in her career, he would “beat me down to let me know he was in charge.”

In 2012, she recalls when Belafonte became jealous because he felt his wife was flirting with Usher. He punched her and split her lip. A month later he punched her and caused her to scrape her face on the carpet.

Mel claims Belafonte forced the public figure to explain on Twitter that she fell and scraped her face while running in heels.

TMZ also notes several occasions when Mel B showed up to work between 2012-2014 with noticeable bruises that couldn’t be covered by make-up. She subsequently missed several days of filming the UK and Australian versions of X Factor.

She even says Belafonte would harass and intimidate her agents, co-workers and producers. Though they called him “abusive and demanding” and expressed concern of Mel’s injuries, she would come up with an excuse, such as suffering an allergic reaction, and authorities would not be called.

This abuse took a toll on the former Spice Girl as she allegedly attempted suicide in 2014.

[T]hings got so bad, Mel B tried to take her own life by swallowing an entire bottle of Aspirin. She had a change of heart, tried calling 999, but she says Belafonte prevented her from doing so. At some point she says her friend, Randy, came over but Belafonte forced him to leave. Randy called an ambulance but Belafonte turned it away. Authorities were not alerted.

The next day, her driver showed up to take her to work and saw such extensive injuries he took her to the hospital, where she spent 2 days with security standing guard outside her room to keep Belafonte away. Yet authorities again were not alerted.

When she was back in L.A. she told ‘X Factor’ “employers” she had attempted suicide to escape from the abuse at the hands of Belafonte.

In addition to physical abuse, Mel B claims Belafonte forced her to have threesomes with “random women,” secretly recording them, and has threatened to release the footage. She also says Belafonte forced their nanny to get an abortion after he had an affair with her.

Belafonte is denying all allegations. He tells The Mirror:

“I think someone’s setting me up to look like a bad guy. Obviously, you saw my house got raided and no-one found anything. It’s accusation after accusation. But we’ll have our day in court.”

Belafonte’s home was raided by ATF agents last week after his own brother and Mel both alleged he possessed a gun, which he is not prohibited to have following a 2003 domestic violence conviction with his then-girlfriend. ATF agents did not find anything.

He also addressed rumors he physically abused Mel back in 2014. Mel also shot down the rumors on Instagram a few weeks later.

Scary Spice is probably the last person you would ever think would be the victim of domestic abuse. Let’s hope the restraining order will aide her and her children’s safety.

Robyn Dixon Downsizing to a 2-Bedroom Townhouse on RHOP Is the Realest Moment in Housewives History

While the Real Housewives of Atlanta undoubtedly holds the crown for shadiest group of black women on reality TV, the Real Housewives of Potomac is coming for that peach with their cherry blossoms.

But for Robyn Dixon, the so-called “ex-wife” of former NBA player Juan Dixon (they still live and sleep together…), shit got really real when her grand ol’ home in Potomac, Md. was foreclosed on.

Usually, when Housewives go through financial hardship, they figure out a way to play it off as if it’s either a conscious choice to “downsize” or as a temporary setback that they will quickly recover from.

Robyn, however, is clearly not one for the pretenses because homegirl packed her shit up and moved 45 minutes away from Potomac to live in a two-bedroom townhouse, just outside of Baltimore in Hanover, Md. Rather than hide her sorry state of affairs and insist that she film away from home, Robyn invited the cameras (and the world) into her very modest home.

When Gizelle came over to visit Robyn, the producers couldn’t help but highlight just how small Robyn’s new house was.

Gizelle, who happens to call herself a friend of Robyn, held her tongue, but you could see even she was startled by how far Robyn has tumbled financially. When she pulled up to Robyn’s house in her fresh, white Range Rover, the disdain on her face looked as if she’d stepped out into Southeast Washington, D.C.
