Bethune-Cookman University Graduates Booed Betsy DeVos During Her Entire Commencement Speech

Education Secretary and billionaire Betsy DeVos gave the commencement speech at a historically black college. And yep, it went exactly how you think would, possibly even worse.

DeVos gave the commencement address to the graduating seniors of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach on Wednesday (May 10). However, basically her entire speech was drowned out by “deafening” boos, chants, and heckles from the students and families attending the ceremony.

More than half of the graduates stood in protest with their backs turned away from the Education Secretary.

B-CU President Edison Jackson attempted to gain some control of the situation by briefly taking the mic away from DeVos and issuing a threat to his students. “Your degrees will be mailed to you. Choose which way you want to go.”

The warning did little to tame the raucous crowd. Some students took their seats, while others remained standing with their backs turned away from DeVos. As heckling continued, some people were escorted from the building, holding their fists in the air as they exited. The crowd cheered and applauded in solidarity.

Disapproving boos and outbursts would get even louder each time DeVos mentioned Donald Trump. People began chanting “Hell nah” as DeVos acknowledged the “different life experiences” of the students and herself that lead them all to be in the same room on Wednesday.

However, the loudest boos came when DeVos stated she intended to visit the gravesite of the private university’s founder Mary McLeod Bethune, a respected civil rights activist and educator.

DeVos was invited to speak by B-CU President Jackson, who met the secretary during Trump’s controversial meeting/photo op with several HBCU leaders in February. The invitation was immediately protested by B-CU students and faculty. The NAACP chapter in Florida even called for Jackson’s resignation.

However, Jackson defended his commencement speaker choice, stating that he wanted to take the opportunity to help DeVos better understand the importance of HBCUS and the need for governmental financial support.

“We are always about the business of making new friends, and if you don’t have friends, it’s very difficult to raise money. Her department controls 80% of the revenue that comes into our school. Why wouldn’t we want to do that?”

DeVos’ B-CU visit comes just days after Trump suggested a program that provides funding for HBCUs could be unconstitutional because it’s based on race. He has since walked back on that statement and he and DeVos reiterated their “unwavering support” for HBCUs.

DeVos, a champion of private schools and vouchers, has also come under fire for her characterization of HBCUs. During the February gathering of HBCU leaders at the White House, she described historically black institutions as “pioneers of school choice,” dismissing the fact that such schools were founded because blacks often weren’t allowed in colleges due to segregation.

The Education Secretary didn’t face the boos alone. Omarosa Manigault, Trump administration senior policy director, was also in attendance and was booed when she was acknowledged. “Ladies and gentleman, please, you don’t know her, nor do you know her story,” Jackson responded.

Unfortunately, we do know Manigault and DeVos. And despite what they say, their actions show that neither of them seem to actually want to work in the best interest of HBCUs.

Honestly, President Jackson would have just had to send my diploma in the mail. The fact that B-CU graduates opposed DeVos and spoke up should be applauded. They are the leaders of tomorrow and are starting out with a bang by being at the forefront of “The Resistance.”

Bow Wow Caught Flexin’ on Instagram With Photo of Private Jet While Actually Flying Commercial, Sparks #BowWowChallenge

Once upon a time, you could outwardly stunt while secretly frontin’ and no one would be the wiser, at least for a while. Unfortunately, now, thanks to social media, the internet is quick to expose you with receipts. Bow Wow had to learn this the hard way.

The rapper, a.k.a. Shad Moss, is currently on a press tour promoting his new reality show, Growing up Hip Hop. Traveling to New York on Monday (May 8), Moss posted a photo on Instagram of the VIP service and private jet he was boarding in Georgia.

But, here’s the problem: Bow Wow was spotted in the economy section on a commercial flight that very same day.

But wait, it gets worse! Twitter came with receipts and discovered Bow Wow used a stock photo from a Florida company that actually does provide VIP transportation.

There’s no hiding from this. The 30-year-old was epically busted for flexin’ on the ‘gram. Twitter clearly couldn’t pass up the chance to clown the former child hip hop star.

Twitter took the memes to the next level as the incident sparked the #BowWowChallenge. Twitter users faked situations of themselves enjoying luxury items and pleasures.

Shockingly, this isn’t the first time Bow Wow has been caught flexin’ on social media. During Grammy weekend in 2014, the rapper posted a pic of himself driving a Ferrari. It turns out he rented the car just to arrive for the red carpet.

The rental company saw Bow Wow’s post and posted their own photo of Bow Wow driving the car accompanied with a shady caption. “Our good friend Bow Wow pulling up to the Grammys with ‘our’ Ferrari California.”

In 2016, Bow Wow did it again. An Instagram user and self-proclaimed millionaire stock trader accused the entertainer of stealing a photo of a large bundle of cash he posted months prior to Bow Wow’s own post.

Will Shad Moss learn from these L’s? Probably not. It’s surprising that he hasn’t taken down the stock photo of the private plane given the social media attention it has received. Expect another flexin’ moment in the near future.

Goodbye, Olivia Pope! Shonda Rhimes Plans to End “Scandal” After Season 7 (Report)

Gladiators will soon have to hang up the white hat. Scandal will reportedly end after season 7.

Reports suggest the Kerry Washington-lead political thriller will conclude in 2018. ABC plans to make an official announcement next week (May 16) at the ABC upfronts presentation in New York.

Scandal was renewed for a seventh (and now-final) season in January. However, creator/writer Shonda Rhimes has repeatedly stated the popular show’s end would come sooner rather than later. And she already knows how it ends!

“I feel like there is a finite amount of Scandal to be told. I know what the end of Scandal will be, and I feel really good about that. And I can see where the endpoint is. And I don’t think I’m going to change that…I know how long it will be, but we’ll see.”

ABC Entertainment chief Channing Dungey also recently hinted the end of Scandal was near. She iterated it was Rhimes’ decision, but also made it known she would love to keep the hit show on the ABC lineup.

“I know already that she has some great ideas for next season, which will be season seven. We have not really talked about what happens after that. But I love the show and I would happily keep the show on as long as she feels that she has creative runway to write the show.”

Washington must also be preparing herself to say goodbye to Olivia Pope like the rest of us. “It’s impossible to say that Olivia Pope hasn’t been one of the most transformative roles for me,” she told Glamour. “I’ve never played a character for this long.”

Scandal, which recently celebrated its 100th episode, was the first true must live-tweet show and has taken viewers on a crazy, twisty ride. In some ways, the political thriller has prepared us for a Trump presidency. But thanks to much material/inspiration from the current administration, the final season should also be must-see TV.

Aaron Hernandez’s Fiancée Shayanna Jenkins Discusses Last Conversation With Him and More in Dr. Phil Interview

Aaron Hernandez’s fiancée is speaking out for the first time since his shocking suicide. Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez will discuss their relationship and how she’s handling Hernandez’s death in a sit-down interview with Dr. Phil McGraw.

In the two-part interview, set to air May 15-16, Jenkins reveals Hernandez did not seem suicidal during what would be their last conversation. She even thought the suicide was a hoax.

“Our last talk had nothing to do with suicidal thoughts. I felt we were looking so bright. We were going up a ladder to a positive direction.”

“I thought it was a hoax – that this was some cruel person playing a trick on me,” Jenkins said of her reaction upon getting the call of her Hernandez’s suicide.

Serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd, Aaron Hernandez hanged himself in his jail cell in April, just five days after being acquitted in a separate double murder case. The former Patriots tight end left three suicide notes with one specifically addressed to Jenkins.

The note left for Jenkins reportedly ended with the phrase, “YOU’RE RICH.” This has caused many to speculate that Hernandez killed himself to ensure Jenkins and their 4-year-old daughter would be financially stable.

“Did he kill himself so that you could collect $6.5 million?” Dr. Phil asks Jenkins.

On Tuesday (May 9), a judge formally vacated Hernandez’s murder conviction since he died before his appeal could be heard. This means he is no longer legally a convicted murder and the Patriots may be required to pay Hernandez’s estate $6.5 million in unpaid salary, which could go to Jenkins or their daughter if one is the beneficiary.

Jenkins will answer Dr. Phil’s question and reveal more in the two-part interview next week.

Porsha Williams No Longer Speaks to Phaedra Parks As Kandi Burruss Threatens to Sue “Frick & Frack”

“Frick & Frack” or “Fake & Fraud” — whatever you like to call them — is over! Dunzo! Kaput! Finito!

Porsha Williams says she has not spoken to Phaedra Parks since her RHOA BFF betrayed during the season 9 reunion.

Rumors that Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker wanted to drug and take advantage of (aka date rape) Porsha dominated season 9 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It was revealed during the reunion that Phaedra was the source of the dangerous allegation and lead Porsha to believe the falsehood was truth.

She even went as far to claim Kandi told her firsthand what she had planned to do to Porsha, which was also a lie.

During her Tuesday (May 9) appearance on Dish Nation, Porsha says she feels betrayed by Phaedra and has not spoken to her since the reunion.

“You know, my uncle passed a couple of weeks ago and [Phaedra] did text me and offer her condolences. Besides that, I haven’t talked to her.”

She explains that Phaedra has tried reaching out, but Porsha is not in a space to talk with her Bravo buddy.

“[Phaedra] was like my best friend. Someone I talked to on the phone every single day, and for me to feel like she had betrayed me like that, and the fact that I was sitting right there and watched her continue to lie on me about it, that’s the part I can’t get past and I don’t know if I ever will. Right now, I just can’t talk to her.”

“I, of course, have a soft spot for Phaedra, [but] it’s where you don’t want to be manipulated anymore. I just don’t want to hear any more of it right now. I may get to the point where I’m strong enough to where I can talk to her and maybe we can work it out. Right now, it’s still so new to me.”

Porsha added that she has, in fact, apologized to Kandi for believing and perpetuating Phaedra’s malicious lies. However, she’s not looking to mend that broken relationship either.

“Some people you want to be friends with them again. Some people you’re just like, ‘I’m going to let that stay where it’s at.’ So I’m not really looking for a friendship with her.”

This might be a good move for Porsha because Kandi, whose name and reputation was dragged through the mud this season, has contemplated taking legal action against Frick & Frack.

“[My Attorneys] had told me that I should sue Porsha, at first. And when it came out at the reunion that you know Porsha got the information from Phaedra, I was like, ‘You know what, let’s just hold up until you guys get to see this whole thing and I will get their opinion on how they think I should handle it and go forward from there.”

Who could honestly blame Kandi if she decides to follow through with a lawsuit? Phaedra essentially accused Kandi of being a sexual predator. That is a serious accusation and Phaedra, attorney at law, should know such libelous statements can result in legal repercussions.

It has been speculated that Phaedra was fed the date rape allegations against Kandi by RHOA producer Carlos King. However, Bravo has denied this claim. Nonetheless, King and Phaedra reportedly will NOT return for season 10 of the reality show.

Christopher “Big Black” Boykin Dead: Some Things You Need to Know

Actor/comedian/entrepreneur Christopher “Big Black” Boykin, best known for being one half of the titular duo on the hit MTV series Rob & Big, has died at the age of 45.

Boykin’s rep told TMZ he passed away Tuesday morning (May 9), though an official cause of death has not been announced.

Here are some things you need to know:

Christopher “Big Black” Boykin starred on two MTV reality shows with his best friend Rob Dyrdek.

Christopher “Big Black” Boykin was not only Rob Dyrdek’s bodyguard, but also his best friend. In addition to being BFFs, Boykin co-starred alongside Dyrdek on not just one, but two popular MTV series — Rob & Big and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory.

Rob & Big aired on MTV between 2006 and 2008, which is when Big Black left the show to attend to family matters. He came back a few years later in 2011 to join Rob on Fantasy Factory, and also appeared on a few episodes of Ridiculousness.

On both Rob & Big and Fantasy Factory, the duo would regularly get into outrageous adventures and shenanigans, such as breaking Guinness world records, exorcising their house, installing an ATM and more. They also filmed a music video as Blobby Light & The Chunky Boys (Feat. Man Dump & Lil Pig) called “Chunky As Charged.”

Rob Dyrdek and Big Black had a falling out, but recently patched things up.

Rob Dyrdek were good friends, but at one point, they stopped speaking to each other after their relationship became strained while shooting their show. Big Black talked about their falling out in an interview back in 2010, and Rob did the same in a 2014 interview.

“It was a strange period, because both me and him… I had been a pro skateboarder for years, so transitioning into the mainstream was relatively smooth where for him it was the idea that he was working security two years earlier and how he’s on television,” Dyrdek told Graham Bensinger. “I didn’t want to be known as Rob from Rob & Big and he didn’t want to be known as the sidekick. So that created a lot of tension between me and him.”

But like any good BFF duo, the two eventually put their differences aside and reunited on Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory in 2015.

Big Black created his own clothing line “Big Black (Do Work).”

Christopher Boykin created his “Big Black (Do Work)” clothing line in 2007, but after experiencing start-up problems, he relaunched with a group of new partners in 2012.

Due to the exposure it received on the final season of Rob & Big, the brand saw plenty of success, as Boykin would often be seen rocking either a Big Black hat or t-shirt.

Christopher Boykin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Boykin held two Guinness world records.

Among the many memorable moments from Rob & Big, Rob and Big Black would regularly attempt to break and/or set Guinness World Records. In total, Dyrdek set nearly two dozen world records, including most heelflips in under one minute, most consecutive ollies, most switch frontside kickflips in one minute and longest stationary manual.

Boykin broke two world records, one for peeling and eating the most bananas in one minute (three) and the other for consuming the most powdered donuts in less than three minutes (five donuts in two minutes and 45 seconds).

He is survived by his wife Shannon and their 9-year-old daughter.

Christopher “Big Black” Boykin — who starred alongside his best friend, pro skateboarder/entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek — on the hit MTV show “Rob & Big,” has died.

According to TMZ, the reality TV star passed away Tuesday morning (May 9), and his rep confirmed with People that his cause of death was a heart attack. He was 45 years old.

Boykin was Rob Dyrderk’s best friend and bodyguard on their MTV reality show “Rob & Big,” which aired from 2006 to 2008, as well as “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory,” which ran from 2009 to 2015.

The shows followed the pair as they got into a bunch of random adventures and shenanigans, such as breaking Guinness World Records, exorcising their house, installing an ATM and more. Guest stars on “Fantasy Factory” included Ryan Sheckler, John Mayer, Ludacris, and Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera of “Jackass” fame.

Before becoming famous as a reality TV star, Chris Boykin served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Shannon Boykin, and a 9-year-old daughter.

Nicki Minaj Offers to Pay Over $20K in Tuition & Student Loans for Fans on Twitter

Is Nicki Minaj trying to recover from the major “L” she took thanks to Remy Ma by now being the good Samaritan? The rapper just paid for several fans to go to college after randomly being asked on Twitter.

While interacting with fans on social media Saturday (May 8), Nicki offered to pay more than $20,000 of tuition, books, housing, meal plans, and even student loans. Her only stipulations were that the lucky fans must prove they have straight A’s, a good GPA, or expressed why they desperately needed financial help.

She agreed to pay the remaining $500 of a single mother’s tuition, $6,000 for one semester for another (including room and board, courses, meal plans), and contributed to several other fans’ higher education needs.

TMZ has confirmed some of the fans have already received deposits in their bank accounts. One had a deposit of $500, while another was gifted $800. Nicki asked for their bank info via DM.

Nicki’s impromptu scholarship fund was sparked while she was tweeting about a contest that would allow a few of her fans to attend the Billboard Music Awards later this month. She stated that fans from every country are welcome to enter because “muva makes enough money.”

This prompted a fan to send a meme featuring Wendy Williams asking if “muva” would pay his tuition. The requests began rolling in from there.

Nicki also informed her fans that she would do something like this again in the near future.

Pettiness aside, I’m sure the rapper’s generosity had nothing to do with her beef with Remy Ma and came from the kindness of her heart. She also often stressed the importance of education to her fans and it’s wonderful to see that she not only uses her money for a good cause, but is also willing to help her fans achieve success in higher education.

Phaedra Parks FIRED from RHOA After Being Exposed for Spreading Rape Rumors About Kandi Burruss

“The lies, the lies!” as Kandi Burruss exclaimed during the explosive Season 9 Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, have finally caught up with Phaedra Parks. Several credible sources say Phaedra has been fired from the hit Bravo series and will NOT return for Season 10.

RHOA sources have confirmed to media outlets such as TMZ and E! News that Bravo gave Phaedra the pink slip back in April, after it was revealed she was the source of the rumor which alleged Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, attempted to drug and date rape fellow RHOA castmate, Porsha Williams.

Much like the rest of us, Bravo felt the allegations crossed a line and opted not to renew the 43-year-old attorney’s contract for the benchmark 10th season.

Sources also tell TMZ that footage of Phaedra relaying the date rape lies to Porsha did not air because Kandi allegedly threatened the network if it did.

Bravo has not confirmed Phaedra’s exit. When asked to comment on Friday (May 5), Housewives creator Andy Cohen played coy and stated no season 10 casting decision had been made, but conversations would begin this week.

However, Cohen was clearly pissed at Phaedra’s season 9 behavior. “I’m shocked,” he told an upset Kandi during a backstage moment while filming the reunion. “[Phaedra] was unemotional, which surprised me,” he recently told E! News.

Phaedra doesn’t seem to be letting her firing or the public dragging she received after the reunion aired get her down. “New day, new week! Have a magnificent #Monday! #letsgo,” she wrote on Instagram on Monday (May 8), accompanied by a motivational meme.

Leaks regarding the reunion sparked rumors that Phaedra would be fired due to the shocking secrets that would be exposed. Though Phaedra could have used season 10 for atonement, accusing Kandi (and Todd) of being rapists is too dangerous and malicious for her to continuing appearing on the show.

Porsha Learns That Her “Friend” Phaedra Is a Fraud in RHOA Season 9 Reunion Part 4

When the chickens come home to roost, all you really need to do is just make way for the scrambled eggs, cause they’re coming.

After a season built on lies, tears and deception, everything came to a head in part 4 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 9 reunion when the source of the “Kandi wants to drug and rape Porsha” gossip was revealed to be none other than:

SHADY PHAE-PHAE!

Yes, that’s right, Phaedra Parks is the one who told Porsha that Kandi and Todd wanted to drug her and take her to a sex dungeon for rape. Even more damning, Porsha claims that Phaedra told her she heard this firsthand from Kandi.

However, on the couch at the reunion, Phaedra claims that she only repeated what she heard “in the streets.”

Porsha immediately balked at this revisionist history and realized at that moment, that she had been played by the Frick to her Frack.

“You told me she told you that,” said Porsha while sobbing. “Phaedra, tell me what’s going on.”

Unfortunately for Porsha, Phaedra had nothing of substance to offer. She either stared blankly at Porsha and attempted to comfort her, or she offered flimsy denials claiming that she didn’t “recall” saying that Kandi told her the vicious rumor. And when THAT spin didn’t work, Phaedra offered blanket apologies to Kandi and Porsha for repeating what she heard in the streets about Kandi and Todd’s supposed sex-dungeon intentions for Porsha.

Phaedra even tried to coo and whisper in Porsha’s ear that she never told her that Kandi said she wanted to drug and rape her.

This kind of evil whispering attempt at mind control is straight out of Jafar’s book in Aladdin.

The best reaction to this awful, unnecessary mess came from Kandi:

“THE LIES! THE LIES!” exclaimed Kandi as Phaedra’s wicked web became unraveled.

After the revelation washed over the room, Porsha bolted as she absorbed the depth of her betrayal by her so-called friend Phaedra.

The whole cast took a break from the set as several cast members burst into tears, ranted to their make-up artists or phoned a friend.

Kenya, unsurprisingly, was absolutely tickled pink by Frick ‘n’ Frack’s public and unexpected implosion throughout much of the episode. And while most of the cast was sympathetic to Porsha’s victimization at the hands of Phaedra, Kenya (along with Kandi’s husband, Todd) was a lot less forgiving.

“They both are just disgusting, foul people,” said Kenya to her BFF, Brandon. “They need to be held accountable for what they do. They’re the only two that lie constantly on people. I’m not taking it no more, not today.”

By the end of the reunion, Porsha had grown so disgusted and annoyed by Phaedra that she had moved as far away from her as she could on the couch. There was a space between the two of them that was the size of the Gulf of Mexico.

Porsha was honest, for once. She’s not sure if this is something she’ll ever get over.

Phaedra, girl, you might be off the show or stuck filming with Kenya again next season, because the odds are not in your favor. Welcome to the Hunger Games, Ms. Phaedra.

Beyoncé’s Rep Slams MediaTakeOut for Saying She Got Lip Injections While Pregnant

Beyoncé’s publicist is not here for any fake news regarding her client’s pregnancy. Yvette Noel-Schure got MediaTakeOut together after the webloid published a report claiming the singer got lip injections while pregnant.

The star pregnant with twins has been spotted at public events and in Instagram shots with noticeably fuller lips than usual. Noting they’ve only heard of a woman’s nose growing during pregnancy, MTO compared before and after photos on Thursday (May 4) and suggested Beyoncé must have gotten “Kylie Jenner lip injections.”

The ridiculous assertion was too much for Noel-Schure to let slide. In a statement released to Gossip Cop Thursday night, she gave an epic read to MTO staffers and explained how pregnancy causes swelling and alters the mother’s body.

MTO staffers, what do you know about the effects of pregnancy on a woman’s entire body? Please tell me. Did you know that in addition to weight gain there is often a dramatic change in the blood flow in the system and increased fluid causing swelling? Do you know that often women’s gums get swollen? Do you know that it sometimes affects our speech, our ability to chew intently and a host of other things?

But the sacrifice to our faces, our feet and our entire bodies is something we welcome because we bring beautiful humans into the world who will one day combat your hate and negativity.

Beyoncé faced many rumors during her first pregnancy with Blue Ivy, 5, back in 2011. Beyoncé faking her pregnancy by wearing a pad and was actually paying a surrogate to carry her child received the most attention. Noel-Schure writes that she couldn’t let the rumors fly unchecked this time around.

I stood silent during Beyoncé’s first pregnancy when you thought it was okay to bully her like the cowards you are, when you accused her of never being pregnant, but I simply cannot this time.

You are the saddest individuals and picking on a pregnant lady is tantamount to possessing the coldest, despicable heart. You need to find something else to do with your time and maybe stop by a store that has happiness on sale because you need to buy some.

Listen, Miss Yvette Noel-Schure definitely did not come to play.

The sources also say the couple is still enjoying the sweeter notes of Lemonade.

Beyoncé and Jay knows but has not revealed the sex of the babies. And though a due date has also not been revealed, Beyoncé is reportedly due later this month.

NeNe Leakes Offered $2.5 Million to Return Full-Time for RHOA Season 10 (Report)

Forget about cashing “Trump checks,” NeNe Leakes is about to be cashing Bravo checks. Producers are still begging the original housewife to return for The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s milestone 10th season and have attempted to lure her back home with a bucket load of money.

According to Life & Style, a source says Bravo has offered NeNe $2.5 million to once again hold a peach. This a is a huge raise from the $1 million contract she negotiated back in 2013 — which also rocked the reality world and possible gave her the title of highest paid “housewife” at the time.

“The suits at Bravo are willing to pay big money to get the best cast,” the source said.

Producers have been in talks with NeNe and Kim Zolciak for months for them to appear on RHOA season 10 as peach-holding housewives. While NeNe has yet to sign on officially, it was recently reported Kim will return, but only on a part-time basis.

NeNe has joked that she would only return if she were paid more than frenemy Kim. And she’ll probably get her wish – duh! Rumor has it that she has also been offered a starring role and even her own show if she returns to the Bravo family.

$2.5 million is a sweet deal, but what’s the real cost of the great NeNe Leakes’ return? Some have speculated Bravo is able to offer such a hefty paycheck because of Phaedra Parks’ rumored exit.

Though it hasn’t been officially announced, it’s been heavily reported Phaedra was fired after the season 9 reunion. She was allegedly earning $1.4 million per season, which could easily be handed over to NeNe.

NeNe Leakes is arguably the breakout star of the Housewives franchise. Appearing on other TV shows, including being a regular on E!’s Fashion Police, she has taken her reality success to Hollywood and even to Broadway. Love her or hate her, Bravo needs at least $2.5 million to woo NeNe back to her reality show roots.

Kodak Black Sentenced to 364 Days in Jail Over House Arrest Violations, May Only Serve One Month

Kodak Black was shown a little mercy in his never-ending legal battles. The rapper found guilty of several house arrest violations, may be released from jail within a month.

On Thursday (May 4), Florida Judge Michael Lynch sentenced Kodak to 364 days in county jail. However, the sentence will be reduced to 180 days if the rapper competes a life skills course. Better still, if/when he completes the course, Kodak will also receive credit for time he’s already served in jail, meaning he could be released within a month.

“Life skills is essentially a course in jail that teaches you certain things like checkbook writing, how to keep a checkbook,” Kodak’s new lawyer Bradford Cohen said. “It teaches you things that they don’t teach in school anymore.”

The sentence is a small victory of sorts. Prosecutors were seeking the 8-year maximum in state prison after the rapper was found guilty of five counts of violating the terms of his house arrest, including going to a Miami strip club and an Ohio boxing match without prior approval.

Kodak, who fired two of his lawyers last week, addressed the court. He described the last few months in jail as a “reality check” and apologized to the judge, his lawyers, prosecutors, other court officials, as well as his record label, family, friends, and fans.

Once released, he will continue a 1-year term of house arrest and five years of probation. However, Lynch made a few adjustments. He still needs prior approval from his probation officer before attending work-related functions, but any travels outside of Florida now need to be approved by Lynch.

Kodak’s probation officer stated in court that the 19-year-old was “polite, honest, and generally good” about communicating with her, but also said he needed more structure. His record label, Atlantic Records is willing to help in this regard by providing their artist a mentor.

Kodak is still out on $100,000 bond in a separate sexual assault case in South Carolina. Cohen has been in contact with Kodak’s SC lawyer. From his limited knowledge, he stated “There’s a lot more to this than meets the eye and I think that case will be resolved in a positive manner.”

Kim Zolciak “Jokingly” Pimps Her Daughter Out on Twitter for John Legend Tickets, Twitter Not Laughing

Wow, this is crass even for Kim Zolciak. The “Bravolebrity” is basically pimping out her daughter on social media.

Kim was so desperate to go to a John Legend concert that she was willing to trade sexual favors performed by her 20-year-old daughter Brielle Biermann for tickets. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star sent the flippant, yet disturbing, tweet to model and Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen on Wednesday (May 3).

Teigen responded to the tweet with a little bit of humor of her own. However, she also made it clear there was no need for such favors, saving Brielle from being pimped out by “Wig.”

As you would assume, Kim’s joke didn’t go over too well with Twitter.

It doesn’t seem Brielle found the crude remark funny either. She posted a vague tweet condemning some people’s (most likely her mother’s) sense of humor and also agreed when another Twitter user offered to please John Legend in her place.

Some wondered if Kim was hacked, but no, the mom of six actually tweeted out that mess. And she doesn’t regret it, so don’t expect her to delete it anytime soon. She told TMZ it’s just her and Chrissy’s sense of humor. “If you can’t take a joke, feel free to unfollow,” she said.

Joseline Hernandez Claims Kylie Jenner & Kim Kardashian Are Stealing Her Style Because They Want to be Her

Is Kim Kardashian trying to cop Joseline Hernandez’s style? According to the Puerto Rican Princess, not only Kim, but the entire Kardashian/Jenner clan want to be like her.

Joseline has served as the guest co-host on The Real for the first week of May. During Tuesday’s show (May 2), the hosts discussed a recent “who wore it best” poll between Joseline and Kylie Jenner. The two wore the same $1,400 Balenciaga boots.

The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star obviously felt she wore it better, but also went on to claim that it’s the reality show socialites that have copied her style. “Well first of all, I’m her mama. She’s my daughter, okay?” Joseline said of Kylie. “She copies me!”

“[Kylie] copies me, Kim copies me — all of them copy me. I’m going to tell you where real street style comes from — the real street style comes from the streets. The girls like me. The girls that [are] fly. The girls that don’t have that much money to be able to afford $2,000 boots.”

Just like me, you may have initially been giving Joseline the side-eye, because Kim and crew have definitely carved a certain fashion aesthetic for themselves and its undeniable that they have become fashion trendsetters. However, they have also faced heavy criticism for cultural appropriation.

So maybe Joseline does have a point that the Kardashians/Jenners have stolen their style from “her,” meaning girls from a similar background as hers.

However, the Puerto Rican Princess actually does bring the convo right back to herself as she explains her argument.

“I’m a fashionista. I said that the other day. I don’t really make the blogs, but all the girls that make the blogs, they copy off my stuff. I mean really like all the girls follow me, like all the rappers and the singers and all the Instagram girls, they all follow me. This is what they want to be, so I definitely wore it better.”

Joseline, girl; You had us, then you let us down.

According to Hollywood Life, Kim and Kylie aren’t even paying Joseline any attention. One source says Kylie doesn’t even know who Joseline is.

“When Kylie [Jenner] heard what Joseline [Hernandez] said about being her ‘mama’, she was like ‘who?’ Kylie does not follow her fashion styles because she doesn’t really know who she is. She thinks her comments are ridiculous and she knows Kim [Kardashian] would feel the exact same way.”

And she does. Another Hollywood Life source says Kim isn’t copying anyone’s style because she is a “fashion icon.”

“Look, Kim respects women like Joseline who are trying to make it in the industry and out there hustling and doing their thing. But for real? Kim’s a fashion icon! She’s been slaying these girls with her ever evolving style since before anyone even knew or heard of Joseline Hernandez.”

“Kim gets it though. Everybody wants to be her. Everybody wants to hate on her. Like Britney Spears, everyone wants a piece of her. Joseline wouldn’t be the first girl on the block, or even the last, to compare herself to Kim or her family by comparing themselves to her.”

I’m gonna go ahead and give Joseline props for kinda calling the Kim and sisters out for cultural appropriation (even though she probably didn’t know that’s what she was doing). But I don’t think they are specifically copying the LHHATL star’s style.

And, for what it’s worth, I think Kylie actually wore the boots better.

SNL Invited Donald Trump to Appear in February in Possible Attempt to Normalize Problematic President

Throughout the 2016 general election and his presidency, Saturday Night Live has not held back any comedic punches when it comes to Donald Trump. It’s clear that SNL is not a supporter, but shockingly, it seems they have asked Trump to appear on the sketch comedy show this year!

Alec Baldwin appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday (May. 3) and revealed that SNL invited 45 to make a guest appearance during a February broadcast, which Baldwin hosted.

“We asked him to come. We invited him to come. We were so hopeful he would come, but he didn’t show up.”

Baldwin has hilariously portrayed Trump on the show since the current season’s October premiere. Though he’s gotten rave reviews from critics and audiences, Trump has not been a fan, often attacking Baldwin and SNL on Twitter.

Despite his fearmongering, bigoted, misogynistic behavior, and attacks of the program, SNL thought it would be OK to invite Trump to the show (again). Trump hosted the show as a presidential candidate in 2015, a move that also garnered heavy criticism.

Much discussion has been had regarding “normalizing” his behavior. Though 45 may have only been in the Oval Office for three weeks during Baldwin’s hosting stint, SNL has spent the past year or more fiercely calling Trump out. Inviting him to the show even to make a 30-second cameo would make SNL complicit in normalizing a problematic (and possibly illegitimate) president.

Todd Van Luling of HuffPost writes:

“SNL” has a history of inviting ridiculed politicians on for a sort of redemption moment (most famously with Sarah Palin)… it’s hard to imagine that any new Trump appearance on “SNL” wouldn’t be framed as a “he’s such a good sport” moment.

Trump’s run for president was treated as a joke from the moment he announced his candidacy in 2015; It has since become a reality. Humor and laughter are extremely important as we try to survive an incompetent administration and the administration will probably continue to offer comedians great material. However, we must not forget the seriousness of the matter or give 45 a pass simply because he’s entertaining or can bring in good ratings.

SNL has kept a good balance, for the most part. Let’s hope the show doesn’t become part of the problem and end up normalizing the worst president the United States has ever had.

DMX Voluntarily Checks Himself into Rehab After Being Seen Drinking Heavily & Canceling Three Shows

DMX has checked into rehab.

TMZ has confirmed the rapper voluntarily checked himself into a southern California rehab facility on Thursday (Apr. 27). X has battled substance abuse for several years, but what he is seeking treatment for has not been revealed.

The site reports his manager, Pat Gallo, and ex-wife, Tashera, convinced him to get help.

DMX’s rehab comes after he was forced to cancel three shows earlier this week. At the time, a “medical emergency” was cited as the reason Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday shows in California were canceled.

Sources say X was heavily drinking at the Ruff Ryders reunion concert in Brooklyn over the weekend. Those close to him were worried he was “moving to a dark place” and expressed concern about his health and feared a relapse.

Gallo released a statement following the announcement of the three canceled shows:

“It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer. We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in. We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support.”

DMX has had a well-documented issue with drugs and alcohol. Just last year, he was found “lifeless” in a Ramada Inn parking lot in Yonkers after ingesting “some sort of substance.” Not breathing, he was given Narcan (a treatment for overdoses) and rushed to the hospital.

In 2013, DMX revealed to Dr. Phil that his issues with substances began when he was 14 and smoked a blunt laced with cocaine.

Rasheeda Opens Up About Her Estranged Marriage With Kirk Frost on “The Real”

Since it was revealed that Kirk Frost may have fathered a child outside of his marriage in the first few episodes of season six of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, audiences haven’t received much of an update on the situation. However, Rasheeda was a recent guest on The Real and discussed the status of her marriage.

Rasheeda stopped by to chat with the ladies of The Real on Friday (Apr. 28), and the hosts were curious to know how she’s dealing with the situation.

“It’s difficult. Things happen and you’re not like ‘okay, I’m done with you; It’s over!’ We have a lot of history, we have children, we have businesses – I grew up with this man. Unfortunate things happen in a relationship and marriage is work; It’s a lot of work. The ups, the downs, the goods, the bad, it’s a lot of work.

But at the end of the day, you’ve put me in this situation… and as much as I want to strangle you and choke yo ass…. I love you, though. It doesn’t just turn off like that. But you have put me in a place where I have to draw the line.”

Though she was candid, it’s rather interesting that Rasheeda never actually mentioned the state of her marriage or say whether she would divorce or stay with her husband, given his betrayal. The gist of her statement was basically “marriage is hard,” something most married couples would already agree on.

Rasheeda also told the ladies how she would react if a paternity proves that her husband is, in fact, the father of Jasmine Washington’s baby.

“Well, I damn sure ain’t paying no woman… Or having no parts of no damn child support – you better believe that.”

Kirk and Rasheeda’s relationship has not been front and center in recent episodes of LHHATL. We last saw Rasheeda briefly discussing the situation with friends without going into much detail, understandably in an attempt to keep her private life from hitting the streets.

In earlier episodes, Rasheeda took off her wedding ring and kicked Kirk out of the house while Kirk continued to win back her trust.

However, recent reports suggest that couple’s 18-year-marriage was seriously rocked by Kirk’s philandering. Sources say it all become too much for Rasheeda to handle and she’s contemplating divorce. “The marriage is over,” the source said after the couple reportedly had a heart-to-heart conversation (and argument) while filming in Jamaica.

Kirk has yet to take a paternity test. While 28-year-old Washington maintains he is the father, her ex-boyfriend and even Yung Joc could also potentially be her baby daddy.

Donald Trump Says Being President Is More Work Than He’s Used To: “I Thought It Would Be Easier”

Everybody knows being President of the United States is one of the hardest and most stressful gigs in the world. Well, everyone except our current president.

Approaching his 100th day in the Oval Office, Donald Trump just revealed in an interview with Reuters that he is shocked how hard it is to be POTUS. In fact, he assumed it would be easier than his old job.

“I loved my previous life. I had so many things going. This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier.”

Like, what?! In what world does one live in which they believe being a mediocre businessman, a horrible reality show host, and signing checks that probably couldn’t be cashed is harder than being the leader of the free world?

Throughout the interview, 45 reminisces on his “old life,” almost as if he wishes he could go back to being a mere tax-evading civilian (which probably no would oppose).

“You’re really into your own little cocoon, because you have such massive protection that you really can’t go anywhere… I like to drive; I can’t drive anymore.”

Instead of working towards “making America great again,” the incompetent, unprepared president is still be fixated on the election, a period in which he had several “wins” and praise by his party’s standards.

He even interrupted a conversation about China’s president to hand out copies of the latest electoral map figures to the three Reuters reporters.

“Here, you can take that, that’s the final map of the numbers. It’s pretty good, right? The red is obviously us.”

However, it’s also understandable why a man with such an inflated and fragile ego would continue to harp on his last (and probably only) victory. Although the first 100 days is an arbitrary measure of a president’s term, it does set the tone. And Trump’s first 100 days has been nothing but fail after fail.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert just produced and humorous, yet sad, clip of Trump’s 99 days of failures in 99 seconds.

Yes, being President of the United States is hard! We ALL know this! 45 is only shocked because he’s not used to actually doing the work, at least not for the past few years while his kids were at the helm of his businesses.

I’m convinced this man never wanted the job to begin with; he only wanted the win. And now he’s on track for four years of losses.

Nick Gordon & New Girlfriend Laura Show Off Their Love on Instagram

Remember Nick Gordon? He was Bobbi Kristina Brown’s unstable “brother”/boyfriend who was also found legally responsible for her death. Though he’s been MIA for a while, it seems he has found a new girlfriend.

A woman named Laura recently posted photos on social media, flaunting her relationship with Gordon. The couple is cuddled up in both pics. Laura even pens a sweet message to her love as one of the photo’s caption.

“My sweet, handsome, considerate, protective, loving, charismatic, entertaining, compassionate, comforting, warm hearted, outstanding, simply incredible boyfriend: I’m beyond blessed because you’re the best.”

As of now, Laura is mystery woman. It is unclear how she and Gordon met or how long they have been together. However, the couple does look happy. Let’s also hope Gordon is more stable and sober than in recent years.

The 26-year-old has not posted any photos or mentioned Laura on his own social media accounts.

Gordon last made headlines last year when he was found legally responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s 2015 death. A judge ordered him to pay Bobbi Kristina’s family $36 million. The family has yet to receive this money, and probably never will.
