Social media users called Reginae Carter out for attending a cucumber-themed party after previously speaking out against the Cucumber Challenge, but she says she had a good reason for being there.

Reginae was among the many celebrities who attended a pool party Sunday (Aug. 4) hosted by Atlanta rapper Trouble. The party had a cucumber theme, and as you may have heard, things got really wild.

Alexis Skyy made headlines after a video was widely shared online showing her penetrating a woman with the vegetable before sticking it in the woman’s mouth and repeating the graphic sex act multiple times.

Skyy—who also hosted the event, along with YFN Lucci—has since addressed the cucumber video, saying that the woman, who is a porn star, was a willing participant and actually asked her to perform the sexual gesture on her.

As for Reginae, she took to Twitter Monday morning to explain why she was at the party and hinted that she and Lucci are no longer together as a result of the event.

“I went to the party to spy on ray(lucci). Females, don’t act like you never did it,” she wrote. “But when I heard about the cucumber activities, I left. Tbh, I’ve made myself look like a fool for this man and I apologize for allowing you guys to see it.

She continued: “I’m young and still learning. Unfortunately, every move I make is publicized. I can’t control it. Imma try to be more private for now on. It’s hard because I’ve always been so open and honest. But I gotta learn how to deal with my problems alone and in private.”

Reginae went on to explain that her image is important to her and she won’t let this incident ruin everything she’s worked hard for. See her tweets below:

This isn’t the first time Reginae Carter and YFN Lucci’s relationship has been on the rocks over the #CucumberChallenge.

Just last month, Reginae took to social media denouncing the viral challenge, calling it “degrading” and “dirty, and particularly calling folks like Lucci out for participating even though he has a young daughter.

“Also, if you have a daughter…that shit is not cool,” she said. “And honestly, the folks that’s posting it and stuff like that you gotta understand if you got kids your kids is going to school and trust me [people] addressing your kids about that and it’s not cool.”
