We don’t think we’ve ever seen an album flop this hard! According to Hits Daily Double, Kelis‘ new album Flesh Tone sold a dismal 7,833 copies its first week on the charts, coming in at #46. The album was preceded by the single “Acapella”, which hit number one on the Billboard Dance Chart.
This is extremely bad news for Kelis seeing as this is her first album on her new label and because of the fact that she actually did promotion for the single. But maybe this is karma for clearing out Nas’ bank account.
