Rapper Yung Joc is officially free from any contractual obligations with his former label Block Entertainment.  The Atlanta based rapper confirmed this with our friends over at Baller Status and stated  wasn’t allowed to discuss any issues dealing with Block Entertainment to press due to a clause in one of the terms of his release.

“I just got my release and one of the terms of the release was a defamation clause, so honestly, I can’t really talk about it too much.” Yung said. “I’ve been released, severed the business ties. May God bless them and their regime, but I’m doing my own thing now.”

As far as future endeavors, Joc is in the midst of talking with a few other labels working out other contract agreements, though he wouldn’t drop any names.

And the drama between rapper Yung Joc and Diddy’s Bad Boy record label continues…

In an exclusive interview with Rolling Out, Joc is speaking on why he hasn’t come out with an album yet, among other things. The Bad Boy recording artist first showed that he wasn’t happy with his label earlier this year because of unpaid royalties and a lack of promotion. He also publicly revealed that he had plans on filing a lawsuit against Diddy’s Bad Boy label and Block Entertainment.

“Honestly, there is no current situation with Bad Boy right now,” the rapper said. “We’ve been in talks of me being possibly released. I just don’t think at the present time that regime is the right outfit for me at the moment, considering I work very hard as an artist and I’m still in the position where I’m not able to put out my music because of some conflicts of interest…”

This is a new track from R&B singer Monica and rapper Yung Joc. Apparently, this was left over from Yung Joc’s most recent album, Hustlenomics. The Atlanta-based rapper is currently working on his next album, due in 2009, titled Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood.

BET made up some bogus story talking about how Katt bet T-Pain he couldn’t beat him in a break dance battle, and how Katt’s hosting duties were up for grabs to whoever won. It later came to light that Williams had been arrested on the morning of the show. Sound familiar, anyone? *Cough* T.I. *cough* got arrested *cough* last year *cough* and he was *cough* supposed to perform. I’m just saying…

Rumors have began to spread regarding rapper Yung Joc’s child support payments. Joc cleared up the allegations live on the radio via Atlanta’s popular V-103 station this past Monday (Aug. 18th) stating that he was, in fact, up-to-date with child support payments to his baby mama, Fatimah Jester. But a problem recently arose which caused a temporary delay with the payments, so basically homegirl made a big deal about the situation not considering the fact that what was going on wasn’t Joc’s fault.

“I never missed a payment,” Joc said during the radio interview. “I don’t pay it directly to her; I pay it through [the Georgia Department of Resources Office of Child Support Services]. My banker wires the funds to DHR; they wire the funds right to her account. However long that takes, she needs to discuss that with them, and not put me out there bad like that.”

It’s this new group from Chicago named Hot Stylz. I thought Chicago was the only people that knew about this group! The name of Hot Stylz’s new single is called “Lookin’ Boy” featuring Yung Joc. It’s kinda hard to explain but in Chi-town when you just talking about somebody for about a good 10-15 minutes we call it a “roasting session” and we also called it “heating”. It’s fun and it mad funny! You just say a lot of stuff that most of the time don’t even make sense. Check out the video to get a concept.

The Summer of 2007 was definitely a time for Rihanna to shine, with the smash hit of “Umbrella” featuring executive producer/mentor Jay-Z, already having released two previous albums, both 2005’s Music of the Sun and 2006’s A Girl Like Me, one would question if Rihanna is moving too quickly in her natural prime. Although I do admit to actually purchasing and owning two of Rihanna’s album releases, I felt she was rushed into finding a specific identity to stick with, not just for her, but also her label. Needless to say, numbers don’t lie, “Umbrella” was indeed a hit and possibly one of my favourite records from her.

This past Friday, it was reported that Jay-Z wouldn’t be able to celebrate the opening of his new 40/40 club in Las Vegas this weekend because of the club not passing some kind of inspection test. But obviously, everything was cleared up and the party went on as planned. But eff the party! Check out the dude behind Jay-Z. If that ain’t a piercing side-eye, I don’t know what is. Despite making a late appearance to court yesterday, Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Michael Ryan allowed Yung Joc, who was born Jasiel Robinson, to remain free on $50,000 bond, which he had posted Monday. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 25. Because he was late for the Wednesday morning arraignment, Cuyahoga County assistant prosecutor Gayle Williams told the media that the rapper was considered a fugitive of the law, and that his bond would be doubled to $100,000.

Joc’s attorney, Stanley Jackson Jr., was apologetic about his client’s absence at the hearing and said the rapper was out of town on personal and family obligations. Ryan chided the lawyer but allowed Yung Joc to stay free on bond, Reuters reports. Jackson Jr. said his celebrity client is innocent of the charge. [ SOURCE: MTV ]

Atlanta rapper Yung Joc failed to appear at an arraignment hearing in Cleveland this morning and as an unfortunate result, has had his bond raised to $100,000. According to the Associated Press, Joc (real name Jasiel Robinson) was a no-show at the Cuyahoga County courthouse, where he was expected to answer to charges of carrying a concealed weapon.

Stanley Jackson Jr., Joc’s attorney, told the court that his client was busy with family and personal obligations. Cuyahoga County assistant prosecutor Gayle Williams is expected to ask the court to issue an arrest warrant for the rapper. Municipal Judge Michael John Ryan advised Jackson that his client must appear in court and doubled the rapper’s bond from the previous amount of $50,000.

He better get his ass to court ASAP! Weapons charges are no joke … ask T.I.

Just in time for us to begin our “end of the year” posts, Yung Joc is the proud recipient of our “Dumb Ass of the Year!” award. Home boy attempted to take a loaded gun onto a Delta Air Lines flight, and was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. 27-year-old Jasiel Robinson (Yung Joc) was arrested about 6:20 A.M. Sunday at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport before boarding, police spokesman Lt. Thomas Stacho said.

Police found a semiautomatic handgun and ammunition in his carry-on bag, and he told them he did not know the weapon was there, Stacho said. Robinson was attempting to go through a standard security checkpoint when he was stopped and questioned, then arrested without incident, said Fred Szabo, airport commissioner. Robinson was freed this morning on $50,000 bond after he was formally charged with the felony. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

“Yung Joc maintains his innocence. He would appreciate privacy as he addresses these allegations,” said Stanley Jackson Jr., his lawyer.

Stupid ass! I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt (since it’s Christmas) and believe his little story that “he didn’t know it was there.” But never-the-less … stupid ass!

Uh-oh, Cherish, I see you! They done stepped it up with “Killa,” featuring Yung Joc, this is a definite club banger! The song is about a girl who knows this guy is bad for her, and he’s a player but she still wants him. The video premiered today on BET’s Access Granted and comes from Cherish’s sophomore album entitled The Truth (Sho’ nuff/Capitol); due out February 5th next year.

When Screamfest ‘07 hit NYC last week (Wednesday August 22 2007) they didn’t hold anything back! In addition to the headliners and supporting acts (I’m sure you know who they are by now), you had the likes of 50 Cent, Kanye West, and Jay-Z sharing the same stage! Yeah, you read it correctly … Kanye West and 50 Cent. A HISTORIC MOMENT in Hip-Hop indeed! Diddy, Da Brat, Wyclef Jean, and Yung Berg showed up too. I wish I could’ve been there!

SIDENOTE: I wonder how many “damn you’re late” comments I’m going to get! I still have love for y’all though! Haha.

Y’all know it’s summer, and for the past 7 years, BET has sponsored a tour in what they call the “Scream Tour.” From 2001 – 2006, the show featured Bow Wow, Omarion, and some other teeny bopper groups, but this time around they changed it up – from the name, to the line-up! For 2007, it’s called “Scream Fest” and it features an ATL line-up with T.I. and Ciara headlining, and Yung Joc, Lloyd, and T-Pain acting as openers. Now when they had those Pretty Ricky losers, and Bow Wow ‘nem, they had no problem coming to SC. Now that they have people on the roster that I like, they act like they can’t show SC any love!
